TennZip
https://fiusports.com/news/2019/10/1/mens-soccer-fiu-rises-to-no-13-in-the-nation.aspx Florida International(FIU) has not lost this year. They are 7-0-2 and ranked #13 in the country. They have scored 29 goals in 9 games. FIU defeated Old Dominion 5-0 this season(I am sure that long time zips fans know that Old Dominion is good...long time fans remember Old Dominion 4 Akron 1..from 2015) FIU's most impressive win this year was over James Madison(JMU) JMU advanced to NCAA quarters last year. In 2nd game of the season, FIU defeated JMU 3-1 (on Sept. 17, JMU upset #1 wake forest 1-0) JMU is 8-2 this year (their other loss was to Florida Atlantic) FIU played Florida Atlantic this year.....FIU won 6-1 FIU can score some goals..... should be a very exciting soccer game on Saturday night
fknbuflobo
Florida International is arguably even better than Stanford. This will be a very stern test for Zips.

UAZipster0305
If we play Akron Soccer, we can get a result tonight. Bet those FL boys won't like playing in the colder weather.

zipsrule
The Zips end up with a draw. Tough way to end with a FIU goal in the 87th minute, which appeared to have two players offsides.
UAZipster0305
I didn't get to see the game, but a result against a very solid team is a sign of progress even if we gave up a late and potentially illegitimate goal. Win the MACC! Edited October 6, 2019 by UAZipster0305
TennZip
https://www.ohio.com/sports/20191005/college-soccer--akron-1-florida-international-1-despite-dominance-zips-settle-for-tie “I thought for about 75 [or] 80 minutes we played pretty well,” UA coach Jared Embick said. “At the end, we had to make some subs because of some situations and we lost some focus and that can’t happen. “It’s more progress, but I think the biggest issue here is we had chances to put them away, but we didn’t. We let a team hang around, maybe something happens in the end, but you know what, we didn’t lose the game and kept some momentum going. We just need to keep pushing forward.” The toughest part for the Zips is that they dominated FIU for almost the entire part of regulation only to have a goal with 3:30 remaining tie the score.
