Captain Kangaroo Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 No mention of Jabari at WR...Blackburn not listed on the preseason all-MAC team, but Earl and Rohr are...the departed Shippy listed as a possible contributor.Fun Reading - Click Me I do agree that 6-5, 5-3 is to be expected. I hope for better, but that's a reasonable expectation. Quote
zff Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 I also found this to be very funny. He also mentions Zach Williams as a DL the coaches are expecting alot from. Taking nothing away from Zach but he is a walk on and has seen very limited playing time in the past. Also no mention of Donte Cloud at LB. I have read several site taht mention him as the best of the Class of 2004. But hey does make an effort to inform people about the MAC. Quote
ZipDude Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Yes guys, not very deep reporting but I did like what he said about our Ol. They deserve some credit instead of the bullshit aboiut being fat and out of shape. Its a unit this year almost totally intact for three years, I was dissapointed that Boreciii got no mention since he is a pre=season candidate for the Remington Award. Conley could be All-MAC, beibg a four year starter! Gotta take care of my boyz ya know. Quote
Guest Guest_Z.I.P. Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Notice that VanDekamp (or whatever) has Central Michigan finishing 7-4. That will be a big surprise to many, but I also have CMU listed as the surprise (or most improved) team with their new coach bringing better team play from decent athletes. I have them at 6-5 and 4th in the West. Next biggest surprise? Buffalo has a shot at three (3) wins, and move to 5th -- if they can win #1 @EMU. EMU has started so slow in the past, that I give UB a real chance. But, then again -- who cares about those teams? When does camp start?? I'm ready to go Mom! Quote
EAGLETIME Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 There is no way that Akron with the forme coaching staff wins less than 9 games. Settling for 6 wins is a sign that Akron is a dead end job and a dead program. Zip fans will rue the day that Lee Owens left Akron U. Quote
Hilltopper Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Great, just what we need....another Owens troll. Would one of the Mods please put him(and us) out of his misery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
