ZipDad57
We're playing a very good WM team, however we will win in a hard fought game, Mark it down, Luke will have a big game as will our receivers!!! See you all there. I wish all the Seniors well, as they play their last college game...Hope they all have a great game, as well as the rest of the team and coaches. Everone enjoy yourself, ZipDad57 out!
KeeprOFtheHous
Your kidding right? these players have no heart no desire, their attitude is horrible and they are about as disciplined as an infant. we will lose, not saying i am not a zips fan i am totally, do i want us to win YES, will we get a bowl shot, Hellz NO and if you think we do you need to search the net and read more before making a post like that, regardless they have written off the season. Unfortunatley Akron 10 WMU
johnnyzip84
I wish I thought otherwise, but the Broncos have a lot more incentive and have been playing much better football lately. That DE of Western's will be difficult to handle.Zips 21Broncos 27But it'll be a great day for football and we only get so many home games to enjoy so let's do exactly that regardless of the outcome. Zips fan
I have not lost faith. This team is talented and will be fighting to finish the season .500. I think the Zips have done a great job of playing well at home and they will come to play.Zips 24WMU 21GO ZIPS!!

Captain Kangaroo
Every tough team we've played this season has been on the road. We finally catch a break and play one at home, where we play decent ball. Zips 23WMU
ZachTheZip
I say we stay unbeaten at home(what a big help that's been ), and we pull out a win over WMU in front of a decent crowd of 10,000. Announced attendance will be around 13,000 and we keep our D1-A status.

Unfortunatley Akron 10 WMU 28 Akron 20, WMU 17Defense will hold strong like they did against OU, scoring 7 of our 20 points. Special teams will contribute 2 short fieldgoals due to our inability to produce in the red zone, and our unproductive offense will contribute a measley 7 points. It will either come down to the defense holding WMU from scoring in the last seconds or our special teams kicking a winning field goal as our fans cover their eyes praying to all that is holy that it goes through the uprights! The other thing is....there are the few on the team that have had the desire, heart and discipline all season (Kasparek, Groza, Kiki, Jermaine, Cecchetti, Mackey, Alleman, Donaldson), problem is, it takes more than a few to make big things happen in a season. Hopefully JD does something to instill the MAC champion values into next year's team, or it's even more downhill from here!
a-zip
It is tough to predict an accurate Zips score because you have to factor missed extra points.

skip-zip
1) Getsy will throw at last 3 balls that should have never been thrown, trying to force the issue by attempting to prove something to everyone out there who thinks this is the last football game he ever plays in his life. It will be sad to see his career end this way after last year.2) Costly holding penalities and a couple of personal fouls will add to the mess.3) Up until the Central Michigan game, I thought that Western was the best team in the MAC, and they are virtually guaranteed a bowl bid with a win.The only chance we have to is play like we played at NC State.Broncos - 28 Zips - 17The only thing we have to celebrate? Can't WON'T BE GOING TO A BOWL GAME.
skip-zip
If anyone realistically believes that, when you factor in the holiday, vacations, shopping, the game time, students out of town, etc., that there will be more than about 2,000 people in the stands, THE TURKEY IS MAKING YOU DELUSIONAL. Historically, during a non-contending year, the attendance dramatically drops as the year progresses anyway. Everyone will be with family tomorrow, if they are not working. And unfortunately, "spending time with family" does not include "let's go to the Rubber Bowl" for most people that live in Akron.

Gonna have to agree with this...maybe 6k in the stands (announced around 16000). From my memory, WMU does not travel well. Despite a good year, they wont bring in a share of fans. I too will be working (ugh, retail) and wont be able to make the game. Though I'd rather be engorging my self on turkey leftovers...Akron 13WMU
