zipsrowdy88
Has anyone else noticed this years AK-Rowdies especially down? I am a more recent grad and I know that back in the hayday of Zips soccer/basketball complete domination it was another level. But, even in more recent years we have done a good job at games (especially soccer). This game against FIU looked like 50 kids there? Pathetic. Hard to fathom with a top rated program, good opponent and excellent weather. This picture was taken at the opening of the first half of Monday's game. YipaZip
From walking on campus on soccer game days, I dont see anywhere advertising there is games on. Is it the Rowdies job to promote or to bring noise or both? Either way, it is not ideal the current situation.
Reslife4Life
The Rowdies haven't had good leadership in a few years. During covid their leadership completely fell apart. Their current "board" has maybe 3 people on it. That isn't completely their own fault, they don't have any budget or basically any formal support from the athletic department. Its been a problem for a few years with campus groups, there is no cross-communication between anyone (Greek Life, Student Life, Res Life, Athletics, etc.) Current students simply just don't know about what they can be a part of. Covid just absolutely destroyed that student involvement.

It looks great when kids show up!
