Spin Posted August 28 Report Posted August 28 (edited) Looks like Cleveland State is getting a new pitch. https://neo-trans.blog/2025/08/28/csu-may-repurpose-wolstein-center-as-soccer-stadium/ One question. Where would Vike’s basketball play? Edited August 28 by Spin Quote
Z.I.P. Posted August 29 Report Posted August 29 Will Viking basketball teams be playing in the "open air stadium"?? 🤭 1 Quote
Spin Posted Thursday at 01:57 AM Author Report Posted Thursday at 01:57 AM Is the Cavaliers minor league team still playing at the Wolstein Center? I haven’t seen them since they played in Canton. Quote

Spin Posted Thursday at 02:43 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 02:43 PM I can see the Vikes playing in the Auditorium now. But how in the world are they going to put a regulation pitch (330’ X 80’) in a 112’ by 121’ space? I mean, it worked out well for the old Cleveland Crunch indoor team (200’x85’). But a full pitch? What am I missing… Quote

What am I missing… I've been confused by the whole soccer situation in Cleveland. Because there's also a proposed soccer stadium across the freeway from Progressive Field. That would be for professional women's soccer and men's MLS Next Pro. Apparently this proposal is for USL men's soccer. But it would involve demolishing the arena and building a soccer stadium, I believe. 2 Quote
