We would find out then if schools are trying to win championships or using their football program as a fundraising tool. 

 

They could probably eliminate some confusion by making the MAC season 9 games. 

They do only count conference games, but solely because Ohio and Toledo did not play other, they didn't count those games. I like the "mini conference" concept where their records against each other count as the first criteria whether they all played each other or not.
