They do only count conference games, but solely because Ohio and Toledo did not play other, they didn't count those games. I like the "mini conference" concept where their records against each other count as the first criteria whether they all played each other or not. Quote

If three teams finish 7-1 in the MAC and two had 3ooc wins and the third only 2 ooc wins, the two ten win teams go. Quote
