If that's true, I wonder how much Akron got.  They have to be a fairly popular dynasty play just because the team is in that "this'll be fun to try and win with Akron" level.

People are calling it fake news on X and it hasn't been confirmed by the school or athletic department, a $12,000,000 royalty seems a bit outrageous.

 

I did see that Missouri state (69th out of 136 FBS schools in team usage) and UCLA (27th out of 136 FBS schools in team usage) announced at their board of governors meetings that they received over $100,000 and $200,000 so I'd also be curious what UA received.  If I had to guess probably under $100,000 but probably still in the top half of teams in the MAC

This feels more likely.  I could see a top team getting $1M but $12M feels excessive.

 

If it's true, though, Sac State is getting $30M next year
