Akron adds Windon to women's staff AKRON Jacki Windon has been hired as the director of basketball operations for the University of Akron women's basketball program. Windon, an Akron native, was head coach of the women's basketball team at Case Western Reserve for the past three seasons. She played under Zips Head Coach Jodi Kest at Gannon.Canton Repository link (see bottom of page)

went to high school for a few years and also worked with Jacki. She's a great person with an amazing work ethic. She also was decent on the hardwood (understatement of the year). I am very happy for her! Congrats Jackie!

Absolutely hate to see Jacki go, but wish her all the best. She is a great talent as a color commentator. Insightful, appropriate for the moment and relatable. I hope we see her back in NE Ohio soon as I consider her one of our own. Have fun Jacki!

I'm guessing project manager of some sort having to do with TV revenue since she's been working on that side.

Jackie seems genuinely touched by the tribute they did for her on her last telecast. For about 2 seconds - then it was right back to professional mode. 😊
