I heard that he ended up going to a prep school. Since I have seen ZERO news on this I figured I would throw it out there.

Cap'n I remember that post of yours. However, if he is on the team, why isn't he on the roster and also why did another site say he was at a Prep School?Is it possible you have been given bad info?

No they won't answer it because it will make them look like asses. They had to make me look like an evil fan for saying he probably wasn't going to be a Zip and now it looks like I was right. Of course they won't answer.

ZipGrad01, 2 years ago when over half our class didn't make the grades I mentioned how pathetic it was. I was told that I was giving out incorrect information and that there was a good chance thet they would all eventually be Zips. I was attacked and actually had a couple posts deleted over it. I was being called a liar. It got pretty bad. Well, 2 years later and I don't think 1 of those guys has ever been in a Zips uniform.I may be wrong about that, but if there are any, it can't bemore than 1-2.It is a very sore subject around here as when you want to talk about the pathetic recrutis retention we have at Akron.Does it really matter if you have the best recruiting class on signing day if none of the top players in that class ever make it?

That is why I asked the question. I read the BuckeyePlanet pre game report for the Akron game .I read that tidbit about Moore and Hill. However, Hill isn't at Hargrave, so it made me question the validity of the post. Hill is at Milford Academy, not Hargrave. I looked on the rosters for Hargrave, Milford, Fork Union, Valley Forge, etc... and I have not seen Moore anywhere. That is why I posted the question here.As for the complaining.....how is it? I just asked a question. As for Buckzips comments about recruits not qualifying. How is that complaining? That is a realistic concern when a school is trying to build a program. If your most highly touted guys never step on the field it does an enormous amount of damage to the program. If you see no problem with that trend then I hope you enjoy 5-7 seasons because they will be the norm.

Oh come on guys, Moore and Hill will be here next year, along with Jarvis Givens. Harvey and Lindsay? They're just taking a year off. A little bird told me that Reed, Stoudamire, and Jackson were also planning a return journey to UA.

I have a question if a recruit doesn't qualify do we lose that scholarship for that year or can we give it to a walk on, or it is based on total number of scholarships.

I am not sure if you can fill it the same year or not. Good question. Maybe someone on here knows the answer. I know we end up getting an extra scholarship the following year, but I have no idea if it is lost this season.

I for one am pretty pleased with this years FR class. JD acknowledged the lack of retention last winter and said he would fix it.So far we have one kid who did not come - Vince Hill. Janil Carter has played well on special teams. Mondo Sewell is starting on the DLine. Matt Rogers challenged for the QB spot. Bryan Williams looks to be a player and hopefully will get the starting nod on Saturda. And Kasparek is already on the 2 deep. We already have a fair number of contributions that have made this team better.If we lose kids it will be in the spring but for now I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. I honestly don't see this being an issue any longer.

Eat crow for what? I asked if he was on the team because he wasn't on the roster. Then, another site said he went to Hargrave. I went to Hargrave and didn't see him on the roster, so I RE-POSTED my original question. Why would anyone have to eat crow? I hope he is on the team.

You are trying to be funny, but you missed the whole point of that post. Let me refrsh your memory. 1. I asked if he was on the team because he wasn't on the roster.2. Someone stated that he had issues with his paperwork and would be on the roster on August22.3. I asked at that time if his paperwork had come through because he had no been on any updated roster.4. Nothing was added.5. I asked if he was gone because nobody had any info at all a week or so after the 22nd.6. Captain posted a smart assed email saying "he is on the team" and then he locked the thread. By the looks of it, all you moderators are the same.7. He was nowhere to be seen during the Army game and he wasn't on the roster.8. He wasn't on the roster for the OSU game. 9. Prior to the OSU game a website said he had enrolled at Hargrave along with Hill.10. I checked the Hargrave roster and saw neither Hill nor Moore.11. I found out Hill was enrolled at a different prep school, but I still couldn't find Moore anywhere.12. I re-posted my question here to try and get an answer.13. A few days went by and NOBODY answered.14. A few other people asked for the question to be answered as well. The Indiana game rolls by and STILL no Moore. That is when I made my statement above because what was anyone going to say? Nobody any any proof he was on the team.15. All of the sudden he appears on the roster for the Can't game.If you want to call that eating crow go ahead. I call it me asking a question and people getting overly sensitive for nothing. They have no answer to give you, but they drill you for saying "looks like ANOTHER top guy is gone." Gee, who would think the guy would just all of the sudden show up for the 4th freaking week of the season. Yeah, some of us are crazy for thinking he was gone. Especially with the track record of our top recruit retention rates during the last 3 or 4 years. lolStill....I will wait until I see him in uniform before I believe anything. Akron isn't exactly known for having the most accurate roster information.
