RowdyZip Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 So folks...it's rivalry week if you havent noticed. The Zips host MAC East rival the K.E.N.T State Golden F.lashes.Lines opened favoring Can't by 4.5 points...current lines still hold the zips as underdogs but only by 3 to 3.5 points. That being said...the last battle for the Wagon Wheel in Rubber Bowl history (probably) begins at NOON of September 22, 2007. Get there early and get tailgating (yours truly will be there between 6:30 an 7am) and bring some friends. Fill the house, the forecast calls for 78 and sunny.I'll kick it off here...Zips 31Can't 27 Quote

Let'sGoZips94 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Zips 35Can't 21My old science teacher has already started the hate Akron thing he has going. He put Can't junk all over the school. Now i'm putting Fear the Roo blankets in his room and posters over the Can't junk. Quote

skip-zip Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 NO WAY that Can't can get in the end zone more than twice on our defense.Akron - 27Can't - 17 Quote
mcperp Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Zips avenge last year's drubbing with 23-17 win. Quote
cwby82288 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 does Can't state have a forum/message board like this? i want to see what their fans are saying Quote
zipboy Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Igor shows up big time. Zips remember the embarrasment from last year. 2 fairly evenly matched teams, Zips have the maturity to get the job done. 20-10 Akron. Quote

Dr Z Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I don't think I have come close to a JD coached Zips score yet, but here goes:Top MAC defenses will mean little in this one.Zips 28Can't 24Should be a good game. Home field advantage brings the wheel back where it belongs.Akron makes it 9 out of the last 11 against Can't. Quote
Bleacher Bum Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 And I'll be drunkI second that motion. Quote

gozips19 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 we'll i posted a prediction for the army game and they won and didn't for the next two and they lost so i'll make another prediction to get the zips off and running for conference play. Akron 27Can't 14both teams have trouble moving the ball in the first half but we are the deeper team in this game and pull ahead in the second. tate gets a pic and williams and CJ both run for scores. Can't gets to 14 with a late score but the games already out of reach. only concern is if big nate can't play. he's been a huge (no pun intended) reason the lb's have been recording so many stops. lets hope he can gut this game out! i'll be down around 830 for the game i can't wait! Class of 82 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 I think facing Kellen Lewis was great preparation for Edelman, even though Lewis shredded Akron pretty bad. Even missing Nate Robinson and maybe Kevin Grant, I think our D responds with its A-game against Can't.Zips 24flush-in-the-pans 13 Quote
