Another reason for Akron being late to join the MAC was Kent's AD, I believe his name was Erickson, did everything he could to stop Akron from getting in the MAC. I heard from our athletic people in the 70"s and 80's that Kent wanted to blackball Akron for as long as they could. 1 Quote
