Zipsrifle Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 USF knocks off WV last night....WOW. 11 years playing football, 7 years in DI-A. Ranked and selling Out Raymond James Stadium. What do they have, or have done to get where they are? If I remember correctly, 2 years ago they were playing in an empty stadium. Personally, I think they have some advantages being in Florida, but that doesn't explain everything. Looking at their history, they started with a few upsets and kept on beating the mediocre BCS Schools along with the occasional Big Win. They joined the Big East two years ago....that will help recruiting and then in the past two years, they have pulled off the big upset over WV. For Akron to get where USF is, we need to start knocking off some of the mediocre BCS Schools. We had UCONN in 2003, can we upset today? Quote
flipthezip Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 $$$$$$$$$$$$$The state of Florida has pumped millions of dollars into bought USF and UCF over the past decade improving and growing every aspect of their campuses. We are now seeing the results. Also good weather helps. Quote
Dale Carnegie Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 USF has over 50,000 enrolled students. They should be that good. Quote
Dale Carnegie Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 The Big East has been good to USF and Cinci Quote
MDZip Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Not so fast my friend. What in the world has happened to USF? 0-3 with a road loss to Michigan State (expected) and home losses to (are you kidding me?) FAU and McNeese St - and neither game was close - with a roadie coming up at Miami (FL). I'd much rather be the Zips than the Bulls right now. Quote
