3rd&twenty
Can anyone spot the problem in these 2 pictures?
flipthezip
Maybe he has watched to much Ace Ventura - Pet Detective and thinks he is suppose to have the laces out.

skip-zip
And in the Ohio picture, his hand appears to be in the middle of the ball.
johnnyzip84
Wow, if these photos weren't "doctored" with something like photoshop, then this is pretty ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. I've seen kids from flag on up who would not EVER hold the ball like that.
Lee Adams
Can anyone spot the problem in these 2 pictures? its a shame that a kid at that level is still throwing the ball that way...can you say COACHING!!!???
Ryno aka Menace
He's not the only one, the QB for Ball State doesn't hold the laces either. It is basic football that you are suppose to hold the laces, but a few QB's with "big" hands can get away with it. "Some coaches" don't bother changing the habit as long as passes are accurate and a spiral. But if you want a definition of proper grip....http://www.nflhs.com/TipsDrills/PositionIn...6272006_jjc.asp
Captain Kangaroo
Fingers on laces. I rest my case.

If either CJ had half his playmaking abilities, this thread wouldn't exist.
AZipsCrazy
Just an FYI:If you guys have ever run the shotgun as a QB... which judging by this thread is not the case. You are taught not to rely on throwing with the laces, as well it is not necessary. Reference Bret Favre, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning DO NOT find the laces when they recieve the snap. The only time you can throw using the laces, on a consistent basis, is when you recieve a snap from under center because the center snaps the laces to you as the QB. I could name a dozen other things that are wrong with those pictures but the fact that he's not using the laces in NOT one of them.
Zipmeister
I believe the F stop is set at about 95% of what it should be and I think the composition lacks motivation.
RACER
if cj11 is our starter next year they need to change the offense for him.he does not have the footspeed to run as a threat.maybe go back to the tradiatonal i formation.i am not saying this will work i just know cj11 and the spread do not.
