mollautt
=>MAC West has 100% of the 1st team offense and 9 of the 13 1st team defense. MAC West has the majority of 2nd rounders as well. I never knew the Michigan directionals were so much better at offense than Miami.
Dr Z
Nov 27th Mock Draft Charlie Frye to back up Farve? Wasn't that Tim Couch's job at one time??? I know these things are silly, but still fun
GP1
Green Bay would be an excellent place for 5 to go. Two years sitting behind a Hall of Fame QB and learning from him could be the best possible situation for a young QB. Not only that, GB usually has a decent team which will benefit any young QB. If you doubt that, look at the garbage Couch had to play with and look where his career went. Not only that, 5 has a similar type game to Favre in that they both move and throw on the run very well. A gambler is always fun to watch. 5 just has to be careful ice fishing. If he falls asleep on drifting ice while fishing on Lake Michigan, he could get frost bite and lose his hand, but the probability of that happening is probably very slim. One other thing. Who in the heck votes for first team all MAC? I've had my doubts and written some unflattering things about 5 in the past, but one thing I am certain of is that he is a much better QB than the guy at BG. The guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the biggest game of his career against Toledo. Maybe I'm thinking too much in terms of passing, because if that is what decided it, Frye, Betts and the guy at Toledo (I have trouble with Polish last names) would win hands down over the BG guy. Zipsrifle
I have never really watched Jacobs play so I can't comment on his abilities, but I am suprised to see Frye at 2nd team. I think what happened was that the PSU, UVA, and NIU blowouts came back to bite him. He did show off his abilities in the MU and MU games though. Anyway, I think Frye is the kind of guy who will look at this as a modivating factor prior to his time in the NFL. I think the biggest thing everyone is missing here is how pissed off Gradkowski must be. WOW! After UT knocking off BG and winning the West, Gradkowski isn't even mentioned. I think that Cribbs definately needs to be the honarable mention, if any single person in the MAC carried a team, it was Cribbs. The Toledo fans must be LIVID! I'm going over there right now to see how pissed they actually are....
Z-P
GP............. Individual accolades are all about percieved team success. You can't get one without the other..............it's life in the big time. Charlie knows that..........the great ones all do, so they suck it up and move on. I'm sure he would thank you for your support, but life holds greater promise for him and his team mates than a "nod" from the MAC. nm
