At least after hearing KD on Zips Live tonight, I am off the ledge. He always puts things into perspective.
Hopefully it was just announced that Eric McLaughlin and Marcel Boyce were granted anlother year of eligibility? If not, based upon our last several games, I remain pretty concerned.

i know everybody is worried about this team right now.next year is way off but i think it will sort things out on it's own.i think jd is in a jam right now.he is trying to find a good combo on the floor, but at the same time playing his seniors.the only senior right now giving us anything is dials.steward will take the pont next yaer.we will also have roberts,mc neese in the back'court.i just dont think right now we will lose much this year.j.w is a great player but had no given the zips much the last few games.hopefully the zips will pull things together this year, but i think next year the team will be alott better.

So I hear maybe all defense on Saturday, putting Sallee in instead of Goddard, hmmm we will see. AT least that is what is happening at practice, things change in a instant around here....

He was in an upbeat mood. Key stuff was1. Wood jogged yesterday. No ifs about it, Wood will play in the MAC tourney. He is eating 1 meal a day (not sure if he was joking here) to not put extra pounds on and is totally focused on coming back and making good progress.2. Ced has not practiced much at all and that has not helped him heal. KD thinks he needs to get reps in. So he is practicing for 2/3 of practice. I think this will at least get him back to where he was a month ago.3. Without Wood we don't have margin for error, but if we play with enthusiasm, we can and should beat most teams in the league. On a side note, this was in contrast to what Hip would always say. One game against Miami, Matt Seibert who had played all of 5 minutes for the year was out. And Dan spent 3 minutes of the pregame lamenting how that was going to be so hard to overcome. 4. KD has to live with the mistakes of the young guys and live with their mistakes. I hope that I got this right, I was in the other room for part of the interview. Seems to me without saying it he may have done things differently vs NIU. At the same time, the team needs to step up the intensity. I expect the BG game to be a good test. We should come out aggressive and hungry.Overall, he was fairly positive, feels good about the attitutude and expects this team to do well. It wasn't let's hold on until Wood gets back. One other interesting comment, Bill Morgan asked him about MAC arenas and if and when Akron builds one, which does he like.He liked EMU the best. Ball, NIU, and Ohio were up there. Akron is in the bottom 3rd of the league (no shock there) but he feels they can do some stuff with the JAR to at least make it middle of the pack.

This is a bit off topic and concerns next season, but does anyone know how Steve Swiech is progressing? Does it look like he's going to be able to fill Jeremiah's shoes next season?
Funny you should ask. ran into an one of the asst. coaches last night. I ask that same question. all he would say is that you would not recognize him. His speed agility and defensive play has really improved. Steve told me himself that he lifts every morning. he is 6'9"+ and tips the scale at 255 lbs. I grab his arm it was holding a tree trunk. solid as a rock with flexing. A beast! He still needs some work the coach said but you will not be disappointed. His foot is 95% healed.
