zippy5 Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 So we played at Austin Peay this year as a return trip for last years Bracketbusters game right?Which means we had a home Bracketbuster last year...We had a home Bracketbuster game 2 years in a row?How does the rotation go for these games? skip-zip Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Are we definitely IN next year? The bracketbuster has commonly been a selection of teams that are viewed to be in contention for an at-large bid. I believe 5 teams from the MAC got selected this year. And I don't believe that the teams were selected until close to the beginning of the season. Quote

(Wouldn't be the first time)We play VCU on the road next year. But we may well be home next season in BB depending on how things shake out. As far as I can remember, wasn't the Nevada game the only road BB game we've had? Drake was at home .. Austin Peay last year .. what about Niagara .. I can't remember where the initial game was & too lazy to look. Quote
zippy5 Posted February 25, 2008 Author Report Posted February 25, 2008 So it's just random as to where we play at?I was just wondering if it was some kind of rotation every other year or something, but I guess not. Quote
zipboy Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 French said next year is an away game for the Bracketbuster. I understand that the league splits the home and away teams each season, they must set it a year in advance? On the good side, we can get a road game on TV. On the bad side, I like having the home game in Feb when less travel is better. Quote

It started as a selection fo teams, but was expanded to allow more flexability in scheduling good mid majors against eachother. The MAC, along with the CAA, Horizon, MVC, etc.. have all their teams participate. Some of the smaller conferences only get a few selected. Quote
