People are calling it fake news on X and it hasn't been confirmed by the school or athletic department, a $12,000,000 royalty seems a bit outrageous. I did see that Missouri state (69th out of 136 FBS schools in team usage) and UCLA (27th out of 136 FBS schools in team usage) announced at their board of governors meetings that they received over $100,000 and $200,000 so I'd also be curious what UA received. If I had to guess probably under $100,000 but probably still in the top half of teams in the MAC

I really like Galloway Jr and definitely think he has the potential for it

It’s a shame, because they deserve better. I also think they’re going to surprise a lot of people this year. I’m probably in the extreme minority here — maybe even alone — but I think football takes a sizable step forward this season while hoops takes a step back. QB1 and the entire offense really is going to make some noise this year.

They got better. Dorian and that freshman Miller are dudes. Honestly probably better than anyone we have at guard right now. PG was our biggest strength last year and now it might be the biggest question mark after losing TJ, Young, and Scott. But hey, at least we have a guy who couldn’t even make all-conference in the Southland to look forward to 😅

That's an insult to TJ, he should have been MAC POY last year. Tahj was good at IW but wasn't even all-conference. I agree w/ SF as I thought that was Mahaffey but definitely not center

Amani is somewhat unique and an anomaly, he played behind an NBA draft pick and learned a lot there but he was still averaging 18 minutes and 8 points. That's tied for or more production than most of the incoming guys. The better analogy would be comparing incoming transfers to Amani's 23-24 season.

Ahh I thought Halligan played the four last year and Mahaffey was the three - drop off at PF then. I see us more around the top 150 but I really hope I'm wrong and this is the best Zips team of all time. I just don't see it right now.

I’m just not seeing how this roster stacks up to last year’s. Yeah, we’re taller, but that doesn’t really mean much by itself—there’s a lot more to winning than just size. We’re taking a step back at PG, SF, and center, and it’s not like we replaced that production with proven guys. Right now it feels more like we’re filling in with mid-major bench pieces instead of legit difference-makers. If last year’s team played this one, I think last year’s group wins pretty comfortably.
