Why do you say that?

Great game 💯💯

I've got to chalk it up to not having the rim protector because our guards and wings are quick and athletic. The Mahaffey brothers are two of the more athletic players we've ever had at Akron, and I said last year that Shammah Scott's lateral quickness up top is one of the quickest I've ever seen. Tavari is pretty tenacious. I really can't figure it out so I'm chalking it up to not being able to make the opposition hesitate at the rim. But ?????

Has Melvin Spriggs signed anywhere?

That's the 9th new OL Coach J-Rod's signed this cycle.

Kicker/Punter

You've got a good feeling about our playing Miami, who are 11-4 and on a 4-game win streak? Am I missing something?

Gonna be a tough one.

Watched Groce's post game presser & he's still quite happy with the defense & has obviously made that the team's priority. But Idk, I still think we should go back to our original starting lineup. I said this in a post yesterday but to me it just doesn't feel like we've been playing with the same moxie we had when Eric & Shammah were starters.

By my count this currently gives us 14 signings. 10 offense: 6 OL 1 QB 3 WR 4 defense: 2 LB 2 DB We still need some DL and an upperclassman QB. Ps. Zips' OL coach Joel Rodriguez is one hell of a recruiter.

Don’t know if it’s accurate but I just read that there are currently 188 QB’s in the Transfer Portal

Beaven references Miami game statistics & I found this interesting: Akron held an edge over Miami in rebounds (37-36), assists (14-12), steals (11-6), points in the paint (38-18) and points from reserves (27-0), but lost. The teams each committed 15 turnovers. Personal hot take: I think we should move Shammah & Eric back into the starting lineup. We haven't been playing with as much moxie since Groce made the switch.
