  1. While I've said I think McCrea is POY, I don't think off the court behavior has anything to do with POY discussion. And while I don't think Javon's dirty play should have anything to do with voting, it makes a little more sense to hold that against him than a night out for Tree.
  2. I was thinking fans/alums too, maybe it's just the green and annoying OU oh yeah chant.. but seems like they bring a ton every year. Lots of Cleveland alums. I do believe the 08 championship vs Can't was better attended than last years.
  3. I honestly think OU travels better than Can't
  4. Ha, nice try at getting personal, but can you argue with a word I said? PS - I said I'm fine with him returning IF Dambrot is okay with it. I've said he knows a heck of a lot more of the situation than any of us.
  5. In his last 4 games vs UA, he's knocked a player to the ground with an elbow away from the ball, and threw a ball at a player and got T'd. Your coach is a buffoon. I don't think you can fault Akron fans for thinking this probably happens a decent amount in non-Akron games as well.
  6. It's not the Lady Byng award, it's player of the year.
  7. His class (lack thereof) and MAC POY are mutually exclusive. I don't think he has much class, but he's a heck of a player. I don't think there's much of an argument against McCrea as POY. There isn't much argument for him being a classy player either, but those two don't have anything to do with each other.
  8. Buffalo had 7 students standing there.. I'm not sure that was what did it.
  9. That was with Toledo being ineligible. Makes sense now, 5-12 play in mondays games. The 4 winners play each other who then meet 3 & 4 at the Q.
  10. Looks like you're right. We've never had to deal with it, but that 4 seed is a huge deal.
  11. Oh wow, I thought top 6 went straight to Wednesday. So a win Friday saves us two games, pretty big deal.
  12. I believe we've already secured a spot at the Q, with no campus games.
  13. Haha no problem, I was just curious. ZTZ seemed to think they were pass-oriented, so I think the fact that no one is in agreement on what they do best shows they're semi-balanced. Pitt had a pretty rotten defense last year, could be a little bit of a shootout.
  14. Saturdays generally (always) have much better attendance than any other day of the week for pretty much any event.
  15. He's still talking about an incident from last year. McCrea is MAC POY. There's no question. Nothing wrong with admitting it, the award is Tree's to lose next year.
  16. Hurley is such a clown. I've never seen anyone complain so much. Outside of message boards.. Anyway, dude spent half his timeouts with the refs instead of coaching his team. I think he has legitimate anger problems.
  17. It was a loud crowd. For once, I didn't even care about the number. It didn't look bad, and everyone was into it. No 500 greeks leaving at halftime, no hundred parents watching their kid in the halftime show and leaving, just 3k showing up to watch us play buffalo for 4th place, as the captain said.
  18. Seriously though, what a game from Q. If he can keep it up, tree stays locked in, and we get our secondary scoring from Nyles, Reggie, Big Dog, Harney and hopefully Jake, why shouldn't we win the whole damn thing again? Beat Can't and head into the Q with some serious momentum.
  19. We didn't need 80. We needed what, 72?
  20. Their top 2 RBs averaged 5.47 ypc and 4.66 ypc. I don't think the rankings are indicative of a "balanced" offense. Washington State would be a good example of a one dimensional team.
  21. Pitt also ran the ball 51 more times than they passed. Their QB graduated, and they bring in a 4 star RB. I wouldn't expect the same numbers in 2014.
  22. Elaborate? I have Pitt season tickets and I can't figure out which part of their offense is one dimensional. It's pretty balanced. Depends how the new QB fares, but he looked okay in the Pizza bowl.
  23. To be fair, you get free tickets to any event. I agree with the better seats sentiment. I wonder what the correllation is between students not caring and apathetic alumni. Treating the students better would go a long way towards the "disconnect" we talk about. Easy to feel disconnected when you're given the worst seats in the house. These "disconnected" students become "disconnected" alumni - that's not good.
