  1. Blacked out. Unreal. This move to the Time Warner channel looks dumber every day
  2. 720 on DirecTV
  3. We kind of owned them last year. I just have a feeling that seeing some familiar faces that no one on the team likes is going to bring the best out of these guys. We all know they have it in them.
  4. Kinda how I feel. Cautiously optimistic about today. Big rivalry win can get them going
  5. 752 tix left for the Toledo game per backthezips.com. Not only is the site a cool idea, I can give my buddies ample warning to buy tickets since I know it's gonna sell out.
  6. Maybe it's my pro-Pitt bias, but I think they're gonna be tough. Lots and lots of young talent on that team with a pretty good recruiting class coming in. Voytik is gonna be a tough QB. As much as I hate to say it PSU will be a battle as long as Hackenberg is there. I wouldn't expect a W against either, but I don't think we should be seeing 41-0 scores of old.
  7. No one has given up on them. They're already "in the mix," if not favored to win the East.
  8. That's awesome, in PA and I have Directv so no chance I would have seen this one. Thanks.
  9. I think we'll be favored against EMU, UMass and Miami at home. BG will be winnable. So there's at least 3 wins. On the road - Can't State, Buffalo should be Ws, with OU and BSU as winnable road games. I think there's at least 5 MAC wins there, as well as OOC plus pulling out maybe another win or two in MAC play. I like it. Last year we went through two steps of Bowden's lose big - lose small - win small - win big strategy. We went from losing small at the beginning of the year to winning small at the end of the year. If we can continue winning close ones, I see us winning big by the end of the year. Which brings me to the next point. All depends on when we play which team. As GP1 says, momentum means a lot. Hopefully we have BG and Ball St later in the year after we've racked up some easy Ws.
  10. This proves Balsy is also in on the MAC 's anti-Akron scheduling strategy.
  11. Yep. I think the best our offense has looked in the past years is when J-Wood touched the ball almost every possession. We need to work inside-out, Tree needs to touch the ball most possessions. Seems like we've got it backwards lately.
  12. Don't blame McDaniels. Probably has one shot left at a HC gig.. why waste it on Cleveland? He's got two young kids, no sense in risking being fired in a year.
  13. How lame would sports be if we adopted this idea?
  14. lol
  15. Did it surprise anyone he had an awesome lateral drawn up? His offense is insane, props to FSU's defense.
  16. Texted my buddy the same thing after the game. That was a lot of fun to watch. FSU/OSU would not have been
  17. Best championship game since Vince Young at the Rose Bowl
  18. I thought FSU was a better team than Auburn heading in. I had reservations about them actually pulling out a win, as they haven't played a close game yet. We'll see how they play with some real adversity soon, I'm curious if they can come from behind
  19. I somewhat disagree. Clemson beat OSU. FSU absolutely smoked Clemson at Clemson. They demolished every mediocre team they played. Can't say the same about OSU. Yes their schedules were both bad, but FSU took it to the 2 top 10 teams they played, while OSU lost their two biggest games.
  20. It's hard to judge bowl records, some conferences have easier skeds than others. For instance I don't like the Big 10, but I will say they have a pretty good bowl lineup.. ie. they play some really good teams. However the MAC at 0-5 is pitiful, they lost to Ark St, SDSU, Pitt, Utah St & ECU. Pitt and ECU are really the only somewhat decent programs, not a good bowl season at all for the MAC.
  21. Good is a relative term. I don't think you'll find anyone here claiming the Zips are better than them.
  22. I think the ACC has passed the Big Ten this year, only getting worse with Maryland and Rutgers coming in, and Louisville to the ACC. Remember when people thought the TV revenue from Maryland and Rutgers would be a big help to them? Does anyone even care about that anymore? It would be hard to get excited as a Big Ten fan over the new additions at this point.
  23. I'm not sure why we're only comparing WRs, but even so.. Jimmy Graham didn't even play football until his senior year, he was a b-ball player so I'm not sure he's really relevant to this debate.
  24. Yep, I think he came out in a 3-2 after halftime of the UB game. We were down maybe 25-4 to start the game.
  25. It's a team thing. It's not one or two kids every few years. Besides maybe Darryl Roberts, we've been an incredibly bad FT team going back multiple years. It's on the coaches. Disclaimer: this post is not calling to fire KD.
