  1. Hello Zips Family.... After seeing Kwan get hurt in the Toledo game... I was really worry he wasn't going to play this game. Kwan really hasn't had to deal with injuries. So, I was concern how this would effect him. Well... I must say he actually did good despite being injury. I spoke with him after the game and he said "that he felt good and he knows he has to really step up his game on Saturday against Central Michigan". I have to say I really enjoy watching this team play this year. They seem to really like each other and play well together. I'm excited to be a ZIPS mom and fan....GO ZIPS!!!

  3. Make it easy to understand just exactly what it takes to get into lot 9. Make sure your ticket reps don't mislead people by promising a lot 9 pass when it's not their call. Mail out parking passes a lot earlier. Make it affordable enough for anyone who has an interest in pregame festivities to get in. We will get them hooked. Raise the price on them later. They'll pay.

  4. Dewey, Cheatem & Howe must have written this contract and Howard, Howard & Fine Esq, LLC must have represented him in court.

  5. SAS to Sporting KC 12th pick overall. He will be a better pro than collegian.

  6. I watched a lot of this game on my phone while the men's game was on the computer. The ladies could have sealed it but missed a ton of free throws in the last minute, including two with about 12 seconds left which gave Toledo and opportunity to win it. Zips battled hard on defense and Toledo missed a shot with 2 seconds left. Zips had also battled back from being down ten in the second half. Heck of a game.

  7. Glad you're having, ZIPSMOM2! Kwan is a pleasure to watch! From today's ABJ: The Cheatham difference: Kwan Cheatham’s status was uncertain heading into the game, yet he gutted it out and gave the Zips 19 minutes and was effective, Dambrot noticed. “I think the one thing that’s really noticeable is with Kwan Cheatham and without Kwan Cheatham. It’s huge having that second defender at the rim and not playing that 6-6, 6-7 guy,” he said. “We got [19] minutes out of him. He got five points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks. That’s a good day at the office for a guy that didn’t practice.” http://www.ohio.com/blogs/ua-zips/university-of-akron-zips-blog-1.277207/points-to-ponder-in-the-akron-zips-67-50-win-over-the-bowling-green-falcons-1.558649

  8. I would estimate the ratio of t-shirts and balls that reach the JAR second seating level to be 1:100. Our cheerleaders throw like Clayton Moore's sister. And, left-handed. And, into the wind.

  9. They are forced to drive to the Q two...three or four times in March, and they seem to survive just fine. If season ticket holders grouse over a short drive to Cleveland, to play a top 25 team on a neutral court, instead of playing Arkansas Cream-Puff at the JAR, they should relinquish their season tickets.

  10. Maybe season ticket holders should use their tickets?

  11. yeah....that walkman guy is in my section. he bothers me. he'll turnaround and yell the opposing teams record or the bio of a player. I know he isn't talking to me but its annoying when he shouts it as I'm trying to watch the game.

  12. I wanted a mulligan on this just as soon as I saw that butt-munch and his foursome playing Hang on Sloopy at the ZIP golf outing last summer. Now after watching his less than stellar work with the O-Line this year, I'm glad he's gone. I know some ex-Zip linemen who were pissed when he left for Miami the 1st time. Good luck with that guy, Pitt. Ten bucks says he never learns "Hail to Pitt".

  13. Perfectly stated, IMO. And then we should actively try to schedule a couple big opponents at the Q; it could only help our visibility in NE Ohio and with Cleveland potential recruits. I'm sure quite a few local Clevelanders attend the MACC there and would also come out to see Akron vs. B1G/ACC/A10, etc.
