  1. I don't know...a few negative things could be said about all the OSU National Championship sweatshirts and T-shirts that were on display at the JAR last night. I understand that some people are fans of both teams, but that is just woefully obnoxious.

  2. Dave in Green... in all honesty, I wish you covered the Zips in the ABJ, and they bagged GT

  3. Again, those recruiting sites have little to do with talent, more to do with revenue for the recruiting site. They do poorly with kids from smaller schools.

  4. I have watched a lot of Wichita State basketball over the past couple years. They're always on some Fox/Comcast regional channel. They run some great, effective inbound plays. They work at the Division 1 level, and they're simple enough to use in my rec league coaching. I also watch a lot of Zips games. I've never seen an inbound play worth using.

  5. Let's see, if a Tree falls in Jeremiah Wood...hmmmm, no. If a Tree falls in Argentina, can Jere...aaahhhhh, no. It's there somewhere, I just can't get it.

  6. We seem to have taken our amazing baseline inbound strategy (throw it to the tall guy) and used it for our press break (throw it to the tall guy). We even had Forsythe dribbling the ball up several times against BG. It's kind of sad. I also got a chuckle out of the post-game where Frenchie mentioned the free throw percentage and said "but those things are fixable". If so, then please fix them.

  7. Walkman Guy? Kinda boring, but I like it. Been listening to the game I watch for decades. Folks don't realize the entertaining show Frenchy and Dunn put on. Wouldn't miss it. On the other hand, I'm surprised that a discussion about stats or free throws is offensive. Good grief! And no 'Terrible's' last night other than the free throw shooting and our inability to inbounds the ball. Hint! Make sure Robotham is near the guy inbounding the ball...

  8. +1 Also, if you have been in Lot 9 the last 3 years or so you should be on a priority list. They should be first contacted in February with a march deadline if they are renewing their tickets and Lot 9 passes. This would give the fans plenty of time for their planning and the ticket office/Z-Fund plenty of time to sell the remaining spaces. Stop allowing the media parking in Lot 9, make them park in the parking deck unless they are paying like everyone else. No freebies. Stop selling individual passes to the opponents. And finally, make Lot 9 a gameday gear only lot. Anyone with Buckeye gear or any other University (tent or clothes) not playing in the game that day have there Lot 9 privileges lost. No refunds.

  10. Former Zip Shawn Lemon about to sign NFL contract. Listed at six-feet-two and 250 pounds, Lemon almost certainly will line up as an outside linebacker rather than a defensive end. Lemon racked up 13 sacks and forced eight fumbles in 2014 for the Stampeders, the latter of which was a CFL record. Still only 26-years old, Lemon is still a young player with room to grow. Although Lemon bounced around the Arena League and the CFL, playing for a total of six teams in his short career, Mitchell reported as many as 14 teams were interested in Lemon's services, indicating his game tape was worth a shot. His strip-sacks remind me of another NFL MAC outside linebacker. @SLemonator
