  1. I have very reliable information that a new face will be in charge of UA Basketball Marketing and Promotions in 2015-16. He is reported to have played a major role in the 2014-5 Zips halftime shows, and will be expanding his responsibilities in the upcoming season. Facebook Twitter Look for an announcement on YouTube by Tom Wistercill later today.

  2. Because, depending upon what the goal is, you want dependable students. I don't agree. This looks more like a job than a student org. I have a feeling this group would be in various locations around the stadium cordinating cheers (or something of that nature) NOT a student org that sits in one location. Perhaps something that will do stuff like cordinating a section of fans to hold up signs that say "GO ZIPS" or something of that nature? IDK, I'm certainly at least interested to see what they want to do with this before I pass judgement on it. I like it.

  3. I can't wait for the announcement that the MAC won't hold any conference championships in Saudi Arabia due to the disagreements with its stance on Women's Rights.

  4. Ha ha, I know KD & the Zips love the 3-ball. Lillard's got a consistent & smooth stroke from, I'd say, 3 feet behind the high school arc. If defenders didn't come out on him he'd not hesitate to stroke it. His release isn't as quick as LePear Toles', but Lillard has a nasty jab step that gets defenders on their heals (since he loves to drive the ball to the rim) & opens up space for his jumper. IMHO, LePear Toles is more of a pure shooter. I don't know how Lillard's game will translate on the next level when he's consistently going to have to deal with a 6-8ish PF and a 6-10ish C inside protecting the rim. But he is a natural slasher who set the tone for the game against STVM by hitting two 3-balls & a layup in the first quarter.

  5. Thanks for the great insight there George. What is the ABJ now? A 16-year-old's essay that they wrote for class? Or is the ABJ trying to be Rick Grimes... Now this was an okay article to read...but does anyone take this publication seriously anymore? What awfully lazy reporting.

  6. But wouldn't a true freshman who had the benefit of summer camp have an advantage over a guy who had to learn it on the fly?
