Excited? Elated? Ecstatic? Nope. Far beyond that. I remember everything since '05 and the humiliating, disheartening, sitting alone in an empty stadium, single digit temperature, pride swallowing, embarrassing, gut wrenching garbage football that Akron has had to endure. I cannot describe how happy I am for these kids to have something to be genuinely proud of. Shout the alma mater out with pride. Oh, and if you do nothing else in this life, take whatever you have left and use it to whoop the hell out of Can't state on Friday!

Even more encouraging to me was his sideline demeanor ..... High fiving the defense, special teams and firing up his O-line !!! Sorry haters, the kid has made progress for sure. Still got a lot of growth opportunity, but much progress

Good effort in the 1st half; might have blew our wad tough. Live by the three... Regardless of the outcome, this team seems to be more talented than any other I've seen under KD.

I may be of the minority here, but I like the idea of riding our best horses for as long as we can. While not having a couple pieces is never a great thing, I like having our battle tested veterans on the floor as much as possible. No negative waves .

The Bulls played a lot of cover one in the first half. Give credit where credit is due. AJ and TW13 (receivers/o-line) beat a defense that was trying to stop our run game with (vertical passing attack) good play calling and execution. The second half, the Bulls adjusted their defense, and the Zips started to have success running the ball. Good game plan, good execution. The offense took what the defense was giving. Nice to see the offense take the pressure off the defense. With the maturity of TW13, the offense has evolved into a passing team that sets up our running game. "Virtually unnoticed" game won in case anyone noticed.

Awesome to see the offense lead the way today and jump out to an early lead. Tommy Woodson had a fantastic game and tied the school record for touchdowns in a half. Radio said he only threw 7 times in the second half. He sure made them count. Really happy to see Alexander have such a great game and Hundley a chance to rest. The offensive line was much better today. Really nice to see. They will have a tough road against the Can't D. Bowl Eligible!

Congrats Zippers! I've been as down on the program as anyone but am greatly pleased to see them gaining strength at the end of the year here. How about 7 wins and a bowl? I didn't think that was likely just a few weeks ago. I'm happy to say I was wrong.

It's really nice to be excited about Akron Football again.
