Are you seriously trying to make a point by selectively looking at a couple of games? Or, have you been Remember, In 2014 Akron beat Pitt in football, who beat Virginia Tech, who beat OSWho. I'm wondering why we don't have a National Championship trophy. We know that logic makes no sense. I don't think anyone here would define YSU or Oakland as a Cupcake. But, there's darn near 400 teams playing D-1 basketball. There's plenty of Cupcakes, and always will be.

One of the worst arguments ever made on this board I'd say. You can spew all the "no one wants to play Akron" BS you want but don't insult us and tell us these teams don't suck.

E.A. must be dreaming-EMU rated #1 in the MAC.Talk about a weak non-conference schedule-here are their wins: Vermont,Sienna Heights,Marygrove College,Madonna(didn't know she played hoops), Omaha,Rochester College,Coppin State,Detroit. And some of you still complain about our OCC. By season's end those 2 wins over UCSB and Iona will look much better-those 2 as I previously stated would be in the upper 1/3 of the MAC. Also E.A. fails to rate CMU in his top 5-they are easily better than Cant or Buffalo. I watched Cant twice and am not impressed-middle of the pack in the MAC at best. Zips over Buffalo by 9 or more.

Just thought I'd share that I heard on the radio before leaving for Akron over the holidays: the talking heads on local Baltimore sports talk radio were commenting on what an amazing job Coach Bowden has done in turning around the progrum and achieving our best season ever. They said we are a program on a dramatic rise and are happy that we are not on Maryland's future schedules.

NLOID is early next month. Quiet period ends on the 15th. We should hear things after that. Things will start heating up in 2 weeks.

How long before Kofi Sarkodie signs in Portland?

Reggie Rogers transferred from Massillon to Firestone in high school and was committed to Marshall. He was kicked off the team before his freshman year at Marshall and it sounds like he landed here, which I guessed would happen. I've heard from people at Firestone that he had some issues that hurt him at Marshall, so maybe that's what's keeping him off the radar here. A similar situation was Kevin Gladdney (WR), also from Firestone. Teammate of Jerome Lane there. He didn't play much as a freshman at Nebraska, but seemed to be fairly highly-regarded for the future, and was kicked off the team as a sophomore before coming to Akron. I've heard from Firestone people that Kevin is a real stand-up guy and they were all surprised to hear about what happened at Nebraska, so I'm expecting good things from him.

He's a man in his 40s who is still outwardly showing his spoiled child past. It's amazing what college athletics programs will put up with if they can win more games. We see it everywhere. They certainly knew what they were getting before they hired him, just like Tressel, Myer, Harbaugh, etc.

I'd be so embarrassed if I were part of that program
