I would love to get that deal from Columbus.

Since camp starts today, thought we needed a dedicated thread to details around camp and anything we see or hear about how it's progressing. I'll start by posing a question - does anyone know why we don't have the players in a hotel or dorm-type setting? I've always thought that was a factor in building team chemistry before the season, and just a cool aspect of preseason football. It kind of bums me out the guys just stay in their normal living quarters during camp. Is it a funding issue? Edit: I figure since i created the thread, I might as well try and provide some information I'm not sure has been posted yet. Richie Cooper decided to transfer early in the Spring, it was a playing time concern. Wish he would have stuck it out. Jamal Marcus is about 255 lb and has been a beast in offseason workouts, putting on about 20 lb since the season ended.

I tried to find Jatavis' hudl (to no avail) to compare, but I can't help but be reminded of him when I watch this film...

Figured I would follow up with this now that the roster is updated for camp. Still missing: Alvin Davis Domonick Holley Apparent new members of the recruiting class (true freshman): Bryce Dixon, WR, Green Hope HS, NC - 3 star WR who had some P5 offers. Appears he was an early enrollee at NC St and left in the Spring. I like that Edwards will get some more time to grow into the position and also learn from an experienced guy. I liked what I saw from Edwards last year, especially down the stretch.

Did a quick twitter search and Davis and Jest, who both are active on Twitter, both still have University of Akron in their bios. Holley does at well, but he hasn't tweeted since signing day. Nelley doesn't seem to have an account, so not sure there. With such a tiny recruiting class, you'd hope that everybody qualified. But on the bright side, maybe a couple non-qualifiers (and I'm only guessing that is why those guys aren't appearing on the official roster) helped open the door for Tulley-Tillman (same position as Neeley) and Jelani Hamilton (same position as Jest). Maybe it opens the door for another late grad transfer or two to also still join.
