  1. I'm ending my Ohio.com subscription. This coverage is an absolute joke.

  2. PFF Top defensive grades: LB Jatavis Brown, 88.0 CB Casey Hayward, 87.0 DE Corey Liuget, 80.0 DE Tenny Palepoi, 80.0 LB Denzel Perryman, 78.1 Brown a star in the making? Besting his previous snap count high of 31 by one, Jatavis Brown continues to flash the kind of playmaking ability that will make it hard for the Chargers not to put him on the field more. He turned his sack into a big fumble of Andrew Luck, added two more defensive stops and two pass breakups.

  3. Reading your post makes me think the Zips should parody something like this.

  4. He is expected to start. Lots of praise for his performance this week. Very excited for him.

  5. I don't think anyone attending that game would be deterred from coming back. If someone didn't get $15 worth of entertainment out of that game, there's something wrong with them. Let's pound Kent, whip Miami, and see what the crowd's like for WMU. If we take care of business, it will be pretty decent.

  6. I'm pretty sure you hear what you want to hear. I clearly stated that the poor kick coverage could cost them down the line. App State was a poor match up against an already suspect Zips D. They run a lot of misdirection and trick plays which fooled an inexperienced and still developing Zips defense. App State lived the entire game dealing with 2nd and 3s. It's not like the Zips were putting them in 3rd and 5 or 3rd and 8 positions and App State was making plays to extend drives. They were moving the ball at will against us.

  7. I'd gripe more about the kickoff coverage if I felt it would have made a difference. The D couldn't slow down the App State rushing game whatsoever.

  8. Jatavis Brown had 5 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 2 tackles for loss including 1 sack and a forced fumble, and 2 passes defended in Chargers 22-26 loss to the Colts. Brown replaced Manti Te'o who went down with a non contact injury in the first quarter. Brown was expected to start next week against the Saints, however this depends on the status of his leg injury. With 1:08 remaining in the second quarter, #57 Jatavis Brown strip sacks Colts QB Andrew Luck. Brown's teammate DT #91 Caraun Reid picks up the loose football and rambles 61 yards to the end zone for a TD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ppM-LnGzjY

  9. Yeah, that Wisconsin loss isn't looking so bad now that you see what they did to Sparty @Sparty

  10. I often make a point very close to this, so I agree with you, for the most part. Dig a little deeper. It's not just the opponents we're playing. It's the fact that we're not playing FOR anything that matters to most people. In fact, if you asked people around town, you'd probably find that most of them don't even think we play in the same Division as the schools who are playing for a prize that matters. Attendance will improve if things keep moving in the right direction. But the expectations for attendance that some people have about nearing stadium capacity "if we just win more games" is just delusional.
