  1. As of today, half of the Zips' remaining 14 regular season games will be against Top 30 teams.

  2. Gavin returned 2 kickoffs 98 yards each for 2 TD's in Aurora's loss to Twinsburg Friday night. Also had a 17 yard rushing TD. Good night's work.

  3. I'll take the ACC also, except for FSU, Clemson and Louisville. It seems we should be able to make money and have a chance at winning. Of course every other MAC team is aiming for the same thing.

  4. Agreed with both of you. I don't know how good they are, but they don't look like a joke and it'll be a tough game. Looking forward to getting more of a feel of how good our Zips are. Come out of non-conference 2-2 and I think we are well on our way to a bowl game. Troy and ISU will be good challenges as we all thought.

  5. Just saw an E60 program about the blind Long Snapper who is at USC. Fitschen was his kicker in high school.

  6. Great win by the Zips in SB! Akron fan contingent was small: me & and a U.A. alum who lives in Los Angeles (& who was also at the 2 previous Zips @ Gauchos games), and family of Niko De Vera (dad from Portland & aunts & cousins from Los Angeles & San Diego). We needed you there Z.I.P.! From my vantage point, Zips dominated play most of the match. All goals (except the PK) were scored at the far end from where we were sitting, so I did not get a good look at any of them Zips look to me like a team that could put together a strong season. 7. Hard to gauge the team based on this game. We out-talented them the same way PSU out-talented us. Some random observations: Star of the game was either Warren Ball or the referee. She was nice to look at and in great form, so to speak. I give the nod to Ball. She hurt her chances by taking too long to sort out penalties Junk at TE was a disaster. Bowden got so mad you could see him pull Junk and gave the spot to Meeks, a true freshman. Good call on Terry's part. Let the frosh run with it until he proves he can't handle it. Until then it should be his spot Our receiving is crying for the return of Wolfe. Too many mistakes and drops Woody showed his arm tonight and he had all the strength we need. The OL was good but considering the opponent it means nothing. The DL improved. Boxen and Reinke look to be the real deal. Lots of guys got PT which bodes well for the future Cato appears to be a solid #2 at QB. I hope he gets more and more reps. At some point in the season we will need him Not sold on our DB's. They look average at best. Against ISU they will have their hands full.

  8. Kent plays Howard next week who pulled the upset of UNLV as 45 point underdogs. Go Bison.
