I was looking at the numbers in the same way recently. Although there have been some slight changes per class since May, the trend is still the same. However, there is a little more experience than it looks like. With the red shirt rule and not losing a year of eligibility last year, we are skewed a little low (I know that this applies to all schools). Take Logan Hawkings for example; he is listed as a R-So this year. Looking in more detail, this will be his 4th year in the program. This applies to others also. So, although we are young, there is more experience than it looks and it should not be used as an excuse. Go Zips!!!

What if we give away tickets which entitle the holder admission to the game and entry into a lottery. But, to win the lottery the ticket holder must be present at the game to collect the ($5,000 or whatever) prize. I seem to recall that the possibility of free tuition packed the students into games (or maybe this was just a dream).

Well, it would've helped had we actually won more of those games (Nevada... VCU... Oklahoma St.... etc.). I think this is they type of tourney Groce and the team need at this point. There were a lot of moving parts in the offseason, including the expected departure of LCJ. The same thing happened before last year, and the team never had the chance to really figure themselves out early on. This is their opportunity to do that this season.

Do you have some ideas on how to get the general public excited about Akron football? Most on here even lack it and we are supposed to be the die hards.
