  1. I’m on my phone but Oregon freshman QB AJ Abbott just entered the TP. He thanked Coach JoeMo for mentoring him and Zips WR Coach & Passing Game Coordinator David Gilbertson liked the tweet.

  2. I wonder if this would be legal. Legitimately not sure, and as long as it's not truly illegal, this is a phenomenal idea. Add Embick to the list.

  3. Walk On at Oregon. 6'2" 225 lbs. Decent high school career in Texas that included breaking Andrew Luck's HS record for passing yards in a single game. Looks like he may have had some decent D1 interest, and potentially chose Oregon to be with JoeMo, so we will see how deep that connection is.

  5. Dealing with NIL, on E. Market near the Arlington/Buchtel intersection I saw Garvin Clarke on a billboard for mental health/anxiety awareness. Maybe Groce & JoeMo should have a large catered dinner (maybe in the John S. Knight Center?) for Akron-area businesses/business owners and simply explain the new NIL landscape and ask that they work UA football & basketball players into their marketing?

  6. Took me a while to figure this new US Soccer scenario out. I think it's a matter of MLS demanding to have the superior position in all areas of pro soccer nationally. I remember when WNBA started up and blew out the previous women's pro basketball league (WBA?). Strange, however that MLSNext has no national TV contract while USLC is on ESPN. And, according to this blog (attached below), MLSNext is considered Division III of the US Soccer ladder, yet is the most direct route to MLS! I'm interested personally as Hawai'i politicians are promising a USL team as soon as the New Aloha Stadium is completed in 2025. Hope we get some former Zips (and local stars) in the islands! ☺ https://www.conductdetrimental.com/post/mls-and-the-usl-are-in-competition-whether-they-like-or-admit-it-or-not
