  1. If a break happens, I think it will be the SEC and Big 10 forming a ~40 team league. There are only a handful of programs left outside those two conferences that they would want.

  2. Tech and Vandy was another great game. The Navy game was awesome in front of a packed stadium. Bowls mean something to a lot of people. I can't believe college football is committing suicide so television executives whe don't have the NFL will have something to show on their network.

  3. Hard to say. It depends on what P4 requires. Remember, we're talking about professional football now. There are some schools that simply cannot compete in football at highest level. In reality, there are more P4 schools than NFL teams and far fewer capable of winning the championship. They are all either in the Big Ten or SEC. There could be a professional league of affiliated universities as small as 30 teams. 20 teams would probably be enough and that's probably ten too many. There could be a situation where teams like Cal, Stanford, Northern, Duke ,Wake Forest, etc wouldn't mind playing in a lower division if they could maintain their conference affiliation for other sports at the highest level. Not every FCS team would want to compete against even MAC level schools, but some could compete very well. What I'm certain of is nobody really knows what to future holds. Does anyone know a television executive what is going to happen? They are the ones controlling things.

  4. Okonkwo's rebounding stats are a little skewed due to big games against lesser opponents SUNY Brockport, Alabama State and Jackson State. He did have a nice game against Arkansas State, but I want to see more rebounding against more substantial opponents and see it consistently.

  5. We usually carry 7 scholarship LBs, so there is a spot still open. My guess is we’ll fill it with an upperclassman from the portal. We have a ton of young talent at this position and our oldest LB is a rising redshirt sophomore.

  6. Offer to OT Mason Bowers of Kennesaw State.

  7. The one "little guy" that helps on the boards is Isaiah Gray. At 6'3" he's second on the team in rebounds.

  8. I’ve been a broken record on this but only because I heard back in the summer this is why multiple coaches including Moorhead went through the roof when the school announced the Browns partnership. Even without a collective up and running, money like that from administration could have funded some type of meal/nutrition programs for football but also other sports programs like baseball and softball, soccer etc. Foundation and maintaining some level of momentum starts from the inside, regardless of NIL which is also critical to get and retain talent. With the provost running the budget and the new President focused on marketing and enrollment?, the ability to build and meet the basic needs for UA athletics appears to be losing steam, just the reality. We all know basketball has the luxury of Wentz getting them whatever they need and that’s great as basketball is our gem and they need to keep winning and beating KSU! But as a supporter of programs like baseball where the absence of NIL hurts but lack of university level support for the basics that athletes have had in the past is frustrating. I’m sure it is magnified much more for football (also beating KSU!$). It will be interesting to see even with Moorhead sitting tight, the level of turnover he will have on his staff. As shared by others in this thread a few already jumping ship. A feather in his cap, since he’s been here he has been able to retain the majority of his coaches over the offseason which frankly is rare for a program that has struggled to win. I’m rooting for him but can’t imagine the frustration.
