  1. Last 4 games...:(
  2. I think this thread will be very quiet the rest of the week.
  3. Thanks. Let's give Tyler a break. Dylan Frye can mysteriously leave his team and is treated as a hero by their fans. I still think there's something shady about that.
  4. I don't expect anything at this point. be fun to see Eastern knock out BG in a second round game.
  5. Agree. Easily lose out the rest of the way. Hopefully, LCJ sticks around for next year. And that wasn't enthusiasm. There was some sarcasm in the beat Buffalo comment.
  6. They beat Buffalo all will be forgiven. They have a thin bench and no big man. If the 3s don't go down, they have nothing left. Groce did more with them then was expected. However, Banks hasn't been a threat in a while nor has X. LCJ and Tyler can't do it all and that has to be the frustration.
  7. ?Did Cheese get ejected?am.?pan widget
  8. Kittens and Eagles certainly helped out the Zips. But this thing is wide open with advantage to BG. Edit: EMU blew it again and Toledo went off on CMU.
  9. Ohio had a nice lead over Buffalo which they are predictably blowing. Don't throw away your first round home game ticket ?
  10. I'm going to be a conspiracy theorist and say something smells with that Frye situation. Coincidence he "quit" the team right before the bye week?
  11. This helps me plan the next few weeks. The team was due one big epic collapse. Sad to see all their awesome stats just drop into the basement.
  12. Realizing that Akron has gone under in every game as of late. It's a toss up. Lean BG with crazy home crowd and their desire to expel the Zip demons. On the other hand, X gets his 3 stroke back and Zips win by 12.
  13. https://www.toledoblade.com/sports/bgsu/2020/02/24/bowling-green-basketball-ready-for-anticpated-round-2-with-akron/stories/20200224121 tension is building. https://orangeandbrown.blogspot.com/ Generous comments about LCJ
  14. This is cool with a John Groce reference even.
  15. https://www.ay-ziggy-zoomba.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35889i Not much to say up in BG world. One good post about the game.
  16. Eugene German may replace Cheese. Similar type of slashing player. M Jackson from Toledo may not help his team out of a first round away game so he's out
  17. You can look at it that way, too. Lots of nervous energy today. Feels like the Saturday morning before a MAC Championship.

  19. https://getsomemaction.com/news/2020/2/24/mac-announced-mens-basketball-players-of-the-week.aspx Tyler Cheese is MAC co-player of the week. Agree with a much of what Captain has to say. Although, I think the Zips didn't "show up" v. Tulane, Liberty, and EMU. X saved the Zips from disaster in two of those three. Looking at the stats, BG doesn't excel in any category. They are tied for first place yet are negative in the margin of victory stat where as the Zips are in first with 9.2. Such a huge game for the Zips. Of the two games this week, this is the one I'm more confident about. And this: https://www.beaconjournal.com/sports/20200224/university-of-akron-menrsquos-basketball-zips-will-have-to-split-focus-against-falcons
  20. This is helpful ? You mean like all this letting teams hang around, X's shooting slump, and rebounding issues could catch up with them at a sold out Stroh Center?
  21. Occasionally, I thought he popped up on those stats but maybe I was only looking at the overall. Either way he's a phantom player.
  22. As of today, LCJ is no longer included in the MAC Conference only stats although he is included in the overall season stats.? X is the leading FT shooter at 93%.
  23. Zips lost a close one at BG last year and in KDs last year the Zips lost by 1 at BG. Groce's first year Akron beat them twice. Akron has dominated the series.
