And it's snowing in SuckVille AKA Portage County.
I'm psyched because no player arrested last night and no black uniforms. Otherwise, I'm cautiously optimistic.
yeah, if you stay long enough anyone can get the most victories. have buddy who went to PCCC (and is surprisingly successful) and he mocks Sendy all the time. Says he just needs to get those 20 wins and make a run every few years and he has a permanent job
Doesn't sound like Cheese is one to open up about personal matters. Maybe the door wasn't open to the press, and I'm sure the coaching staff has control of who speaks to the press and when.

This doesn't burn as much 10 years hence but it looks like Akron and PCCC played for the regular season championship and PCCC won sending Akron to the Central Michigan side of the bracket. I remember thinking at the time...bad fortune turned into good fortune! Then Zips barely scrape by EMU (again!) and WMU then run into Kittens who ran the table after winning in OT on the road in Muncie. Reminder...anything, anything can happen when there isn't a team AS dominant as last year's Bulls.
(I don't remember the bracket being this uncertain going into the last night of games)
If PCCC, NIU (or Snow Mutts as BSU calls them), Western, Miami, and Eastern win tomorrow, then Akron would be in lower bracket with NIU, PCCC, Toledo, Western, and Central. It's bizarre that that the results of the Akron game can have such a snowball effect on the seedings.
The ESports is a big thing. Also, as Kreed or someone else pointed out, if Akron is in a position to worry about keeping Groce ...then amazing things have already happened with the program. The key is not to make a Jim Christian/Saul Phillips style mistake. Administration needs to have candidates lined up and ready to go if Groce and his crew (losing Fulford may also be a big deal) are hired away. Someone on Kittens Attack noted that Groce didn't get a regular season championship for Ohio and another Kitten replied that he was good with what they got instead. It's the AD's job to have contingency plans in place for this.
i was posting on the other thread that having the AK Rowdies back riding an opposing coach like Boals would be hilarious. But I think the fans are coming around. After the game, LCJ was high 5ing with the student section. Having everyone so close to the court is a real bonus in tight games.
When Miami beat BG the other day, the two coaches embraced and spent 30 seconds or so apparently saying nice things to each other. We didn't see that last night. Watching the replay, I saw Boals turn around near the end and chew out his assistant coach and couldn't tell why. We really needed the old Rowdies riding Boals last night.
