Yes, I look forward to all Zips games but it's not really about me.

The first 5 minutes seemed like deja vu, but this isn't last year's team. last year they would have gone into halftime 8 or 9 down and needed a big run or a bunch of free throws to eat into the lead. For a few moments i was like...gosh the Zips need Castaneda...but the power guys are making the points this year not the guards (even though the MAC is apparently a "guards" conference).

As much as that game will be a buzz kill, I think the staff planned something light between these two tough match ups and a trip to Cayman where they will play 3 tough teams in 3 days.

Excitement is building.

USM was one helluva streaky team. #22 fouled out and that was game, set, match. Zips ran over them after that.

In watching that replay a few times, I have a couple questions I wonder if you or someone else here could answer: 1. So the white kid pushed the JMU player so he could break away and catch the inbounds pass? It did like a push so he could get better position? 2. was that a legal screen by JMU's #22? Looks like JMU legitimately squeezed Santiago to free up the JMU player?

I don't think Golden Rebels would work as a nickname even in Mississippi.

My complaining isn't going to do too much about it. But maybe this will open the door for a creation of a mid major post season tournament for the regular season champs and one other team from those conferences. I think that would be a lot of fun and may get akron a few more home games.

Will be crossing my fingers hoping for that PCCC win every time because, you know, it's good for the MAC. And big game in Athens tonight. I would hate to see the Kittens lose and a subsequent meltdown on Kitten Attack. Would hate it.
