But hey, if the god like former coach does it, it must be the right thing to do. I appreciated when Bobby Hurley said or maybe it was Oats, after losing in the MAC tournament, that his team's goal was to play in the NCAA and if not that the NIT. Therefore, he wasn't accepting any invite to a lesser tournament.

Albany..big whoop. 8 hour drive. No flights. I think Kent and Western Michigan both played UCLA in the tournament. Having the extra day is important and will be for the Hoosiers as well.

That is total B.S. about last year. Not sure why you would even write that or try and denigrate what they did...especially a year later. Akron was playing exceptionally at that moment. If anything Kent took this year's run out of Akrons playbook...defense.

Toledo hasn't been challenged since they lost to Kent in January. they clearly didn't know how to handle the pressure.

From 2008 onward, only Kent, Akron, Ohio, and Buffalo have won the tournament...except for Western Michigan in 2014 who, ironically, beat Toledo.
