  1. I was there. wow, look how crowded it was. total fail by Whitford and the Cardinals.
  2. sorry. that was just a random refererence. the article said they might not be at full strength tonight.
  3. or maybe that's just click bait for the looky loos from Over the Pylon.
  4. Trimble in and Ali out? Our friends in Muncie think Whitford and the Cards will be buried tonight but at this Barberton diner they aren't so sure. Seriously, though, it's tough for any MAC team to win twice in a row on the road. They also have a good win over BG.
  5. Did anyone else catch this? Opinion? Ending reminds me of a few basketball games in the MAC https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32895660/mac-commissioner-end-cure-bowl-northern-illinois-coastal-carolina-unacceptable
  6. apologize if this was covered earlier...so no offensive or defensive coordinators? or are they taking a different title?
  7. We should know about the time the double decker is ready to leave Muncie for points East.
  8. And a reminder as we stress about these missed game, last year Toledo played 19 and Ohio played 14 and we know how that worked out: 1Toledo15–4 2Buffalo12–5 3Akron12–6 4Kent State12–6 5Ohio9–5 6Bowling Green10–8 7Miami (OH)9–8 8Ball State8–9 and the directional schools weren't even close to being included.
  9. I agree with this assessment. I would think they would want to know like today so they can maybe throw Ball State into a game with NIU if Western Michigan also has a covid problem. Would add that the 16 days may be deceiving since that carried over the holidays. But still...
  10. The rabid Kittens from the Hocking Hills will lose some more teeth if they read that.
  11. You must know what I'm talking about regarding Spottsville.
  12. I watched parts of all 4 of these games. Even though, the MAC is all one division now the former teams of the East are much, much better than the West (minus Toledo), especially now that Miami is improving. BG and Miami went to OT and was a quality game. For awhile, Miami was red hot from 3, but they cooled off and BG's Plowden was solid down the stretch. BG escaped going 0-3 in the MAC. Zips can't take either of these teams for granted (not that they ever do). Ball State v EMU: Akron, at full strength, better than both of these teams. Credit to Stan Heath in cleaning up all the bad habits the Hurons learned under Rob Murphy. Spottsville ( of "Spottsville missed them both" fame) still playing for EMU. The game went back and forth but EMU couldnt hold it together. NIU v Toledo: Toledo AMAZINGLY like last year hasn't had a game postponed. Hmmm. NIU beat the Washington Huskies the first game out but are clearly in a re-build.
  13. Why can't we be excited and over hype? Let everyone have some fun and be positive
  14. I should have gone to women's game today
  15. Love is Love, etc.
  16. Ugh. Here we go.
  17. Agree. I'm usually optimistic, but I think this season is teetering on the precipice of ending up like last year, with exhausted and frustrated players who are out of sync with each other. I can't imagine they are full strength by Tuesday.
  18. Miami loses home game Saturday and heads North to Bowling Green instead
  19. This is a bummer. OTOH, Groce sounded like the team was tapped out after Tuesday. Hopefully, the healthy guys can keep practicing and give us a win against Muncie. Does MAC have a point when teams will start forfeiting games because of this?
  20. Coach Groce is willing to speak to press after a loss. A former coach wouldn't do that. Discuss
  21. Fair enough. I doubt it bothers him. He has bigger issues to think about. Joe and Skozcen always seem more respectful. And I wasn't saying this because I thought it would bother Groce. To me, it reflects GTs overall casual attitude towards covering the Zips.
  22. BG told to travel to Buffalo tonight. NIU hasn't played a game in the MAC. (BTW it's a good game on ESPN3. Both looking for first MAC win) The UB men’s schedule has also been rearranged. The Bulls had their scheduled game Saturday against Bowling Green moved to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Alumni Arena. In a 91-81 loss to Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday at Alumni Arena, the Bulls committed 17 turnovers, and the RedHawks scored 18 points off the Bulls’ miscues. Then, when UB’s game at Akron was moved from Feb. 1 to Saturday, the Bulls were without forwards Josh Mballa and Tra’Von Fagan due to Covid019 protocols in a 88-76 loss. Their absences came three days after a 91-81 loss to Miami (Ohio) at Alumni Arena. Miami's program subsequently was paused due to Covid-19 issues.
  23. So what's Terry's next endeavor?
