  1. I’d be really surprised if that happened. There were plenty of points in those games where the team could have performed better and it not have had to come down to the fumbles. Those games weren’t all on him. Price does some things really well and is a nice change of pace to Wiley.
  2. I like this offer. Wiley seems to have plenty of leg strength and accuracy (at least when not pressured). Something our PK’s lacked this past year past 39 yards. Smigel and Perez combined for 5 of 6 when kicking field goals 39 yards and in. 3 for 10 beyond 39 yards.
  3. I thought the same thing. Must’ve really wanted to get closer to home?
  4. He’s a guy I think we’d have a good chance of landing. Originally from PA and could slide right into Shocky’s spot.
  5. Diondre Glover committed to Gardner-Webb.
  6. Don’t take a congenial conversation and make things personal @bigjim. Especially when you know nothing about my coaching record or my achievements. I stepped away from coaching, and definitely not canned as you incorrectly assumed, to spend more time with my family and the opportunity to work from home. Now my wife is pushing me to go back into it with my kids (somewhat) functional. I have more experience in the areas you mentioned than most. Outside of personal observation, which we clearly disagree on, there is no way to compare the two players without stats.
  7. Temporary for now, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it stay this way. New head coaches taking over programs in their first year usually wouldn’t be able to fill their 85 scholarships due to the amount of attrition. This rule allows them to get up to 85 scholarships in year 1.
  8. Stallworth. I’m going back through and slowly updating the position threads, but not going to bump any of them until the dust settles.
  9. JoeMo said that on one of his call in shows, but I think he was mistaken. That was for 2022. Any number of scholarships can be given out for 2023-2024, but each FBS team must get down to the 85 limit.
  10. Pretty sure we got up to the full 85 by end of year. A few guys like Durant and Hester were put on scholarship during the year. Can’t remember who else though.
  11. I’d assume they are. JoeMo has made the 4 hour radius a recruiting priority. So if there is reciprocal interest, I’d imagine the staff is plugging away.
  12. With Williams moving to WR and Hester added on scholarship, that now leaves 5 scholarship running backs. Most teams keep 5-6 running backs on scholarship. Good luck to Norrils, hope he lands somewhere.
  13. Still expecting some more Zips to hit the portal. If my math is correct, only 10 or 11 scholarships are being freed up by the players who walked at senior day and we currently have 14 freshmen coming in. If the expectation is to take 10-15 players from the portal, then another 10(ish) or so players (in addition to the current portal entries) will need to find new homes.
  14. Last Episode of the season. JoeMo talks about several points we’ve discussed on this forum numerous times. - Holt is coming back and was probably up to 80/85% by end of season. Excited to have an offseason with him. - Bubba is coming back. - Tim Terry came on strong the past 4 weeks. - The safety combo of Thompson, Martin, Woods developed well throughout the season. - The portal is hurting HS recruiting the most as it’s taking scholarships away that used to be allotted for HS seniors. - Would like to keep playing because the team has gotten better throughout the season. - Team is playing physical football now. - There has been pro interest for Shocky, Whigan, and Jones. - Golden will compete for time in the slot with Adams next year. - Spoke about all the missed opportunities and how the team will learn and grow from them.
  15. Not sure how this kid doesn’t already have multiple offers.
  16. Alas, another one I missed.
  17. Yep, he has several now. I updated his Rivals profile earlier today.
  18. Oh man, I’m not even trying to keep up with all the 2025 offers right now. Haven’t completed the 2024 ones yet. I’m updating their profiles as I see them though. Ward’s first D1 offer was from Kentucky.
  19. Yeah, at this rate it’ll take several years to rebuild that program even with the portal. Their prep signing class is falling apart and some of their best players are leaving. Finding adequate replacements won’t be easy despite the high amount of players in the portal. Talk about a tough gig. They took the stairs up and now catching the elevator down.
  20. Rough. Ship is sinking fast.
  21. Possibly, but I doubt it. Simply because Miller is class of 2023, while Burnside is class of 2024. Also, Burnside will field far more P5 offers than Miller by the time his recruitment is finished.
  22. Only San Diego State. Although, he may expecting more soon.
  23. JUCO DT Ugo Nosike was offered today.
