Trying to follow the soccer match against W. Mich, but gametracker link not working????

Anybody that has seen my explanation as to what it will take for Akron to win the MAC east,(under a different thread), will no doubt agree that it is a long shot. Should,the games break our way, starting this weekend, then the Bowl will be filled to near capacity.

3-way tie scenario: I may look like I am being optimistic to the point of being absurd but here goes: If Akron beats OU and Can't, and B.G. beats Miami and Toledo beats B.G., then we have a 3-way tie with all teams at 5-3 conference record. First tie-breaker is head-to-head for each of the three teams. This would be a wash Second tie-breaker would be division record. Again a wash. Third tie-breaker would be the combined winning percentage of each teams western division opponets. If the following happens: 1.) Toledo wins out(vs N. Ill, at B.G) 2.) C. Mich wins out(at W.mich, at Ball St) 3.) Ball St wins at E. Mich 4.) N. Ill wins at home vs W. Mich Then for B.G. combined conference win of west opponets is 15-9 Then for Akr " " " is 15-9 Then for Miami " " " is 14-10 Therefore Miami is eliminated, and since Akron beat B.G. , Akron wins the East.

Gp1,Most of the people on this board know that your dislike for former coach Owens, translates into your desire to discard #5's ability and accomplishments,while operating behind an average or below average offensive line. Having said this, I agree with you that is time to move on and root for the QB position to settle down.

Sloopy, AS far as Getsy having to run for his life on pass plays, there were more than just a couple times when he had plenty of time to throw and just flat out missed a wide open receiver.

I agree with those who thought we should have tried a QB sneak. I mean 1st and goal from a foot away!!!!!. Why give the defense a chance to get a push??? Plenty of blame to go around for this one!!! Why does Getsy take 1 complete half to wake up????? Defense was good, can't keep giving up field position with bad special teams play!!!

The bad thing is, being down by 13 points, Getsy will have to throw - alot. That could be trouble!!

Zips just lost 1-0 to indiana in O.T.

Pressure is on the passing game Sat against Ball St. They have a better defense than B.G. and will do a better job of shutting down the Zips running game. Any comments??
