  1. Whew! THey are getting their gates blown off!!! 42 -7 in the beginning of the 4th quarter. They have a great running back but they half ass block for the guy. They sit back and hope he makes the big play. We should definately beat this squad at the bowl! Defensively I can't decide if Texas is that good or they are that bad cause there is alot of missed tackles, and to me that is fundamental football, you shouldn't need to be coached to tackle if you are a division 1 prospect......aside from Can't! :screwks:

  2. Even though CMU, Toledo, and Miami lost they all played some decent opponents and gave a pretty good showing, Toledo could have won their game easily and with better coaching decisions CMU, IMO should have won. I know after some watched CMU last night everyone has some concerns about that team, I am just gonna say this we will give a good showing against Penn State this Saturday as well, and believe me we will put some fear/concern in our opponents as well. The MAC gets a bad rap because some of our sister teams are really bad -insert Can't, Buffalo, and Temple here-. But other than that we are competitive. Mark my words NIU will give Columbus U all they can handle.......the MAC taking respect in '06.

  3. Boston College 31 CMU 24 -- It's not as close as it seems
I think the CMU coach gave this one away. :wall:
I agree totally the coach cost CMU this game...going for it deep in their own territory, swithcing QB's and that dumb ass formation at the end of the game. They were moving the ball just fine. Stick with what was working for you I understand they were out of timeouts but, they had plenty of time to score and send it into overtime.
  4. So out of this list who didn't qualify or didn't commit?Aaris Reed RB 5'10" 185 Waldorf, MD 74 D.J. 5. Personally, I wanna see more blow outs I think that will help earn respect, when we blow out teams like Buffalo, Can't, and OU it makes people say OK this is a serious mid-major. Competes with the majors, wins against the mid-majors, and blows out the rest. Schools like TCU, Boise, and Utah would hang 50 points on Can't we need to do the same! But most importantly with more blow out we can get our second string QB some experience so we are not breakin in a new one next year against Columbus state. I would hate to have a great year this year, only to take a step backwards next, because we have a key position with no experience.

  6. Even when we play this type of "supposedly guarranteed" games like Buffalo and Can't.I don't see why would the players not play to their maximum potential. For one, whatever the score is, you can always score more. and second, they can use it to improve their overall statistics. The same when we used to play the so called "impossible games" in the past, even if you are losing by 4 TD in the fourth quarter, go out and do your best.
Well said but this is a trait that some say the have in them but don't, and that is sometimes the difference between a 4 star and 3 star athlete.
  7. 1. Buy an ad in every high school football game program within an hours drive of the staduim that includes schedule and ticket info2. Donate a set of tickets to all those schools to be raffled off at each high school game. All procedes would go to the program of choice.3. Allow youth sport leagues, non-profit oraganizations, scouts ect sell tickets door to door as a fund raiser. They can keep $2 dollars for every ticket sold. If the group sells an average of 10 tickets per member they all recieve free general admission tickets and honored at half time. Hopw many times have you bought things just because you did not want to say no. UA gets the money, it counts towards the attendance requirement and maybe just a few will show uip to the game.
Man someone needs to make this happen..who would be the appropriate person to email this idea?
