  1. Obviously Joe Montana is a dirtbag dad.
  2. I thought it was well done. I like the fact that they highlight the $15 price, and the opener against Syracuse. Negative: I think they could have shown some 2009 tailgating footage. People who haven't attended a Zips game have no clue that Zips tailgating is/was as festive as it is/was. ZipsFest footage wouldn't have been bad either. Selling only the game misses some key elements of the overall game day experience. Overall Grade: B
  3. I can't wait to hear if he gets his car washed, or if his cat gets worms. Twitter rules.
  4. Check this out. I like what read on his page. Apparently what ever he said was not for public consumption. Its blocked from view. Please let us know what he said. If it is private, he probably shouldn't post it.
  5. True. When I think of Cedrick Middleton I see him face down on The Q court with clenched fists. And when I think Nate Linhart I see him holding the Championship trophy. The NIT wins trump the CBI loss... but the NCAA berth is the king.
  6. Under Coach Dambrot (6 seasons?), what are the Zips top 2 OOC victories? Florida State. Temple. Mississippi St. All on the road. Some varying thoughts on the those games -- Yes, they were all on the road. But I bet we would have beaten them at home too. Note: * Mississippi State was on a neutral court * It gives you some greater appreciation for how good Dials/Middleton/Joyce/Travis/Wood teams were. Since they've departed, K.e.n.t. is kicking our butt with regularity and we're O-fer on big OOC games. Record-wise, the pre- and post-2008 teams were very similar. But the pre-2008 guys were a lot better teams. Of course, the post-2008 guys have some time remaining to make up ground. With the Mississippi State win coming in 2005, I would have hoped for another couple major (BCS) regular season OOC wins since that time. One is too few. I hope this team breaks the dry spell. It will go a long way in re-awakening public interest in the hoops program.
  7. The first sentence of this piece has me wondering. "It has been nearly nine months since Tri-Valley's Clay Cameron capped a superb high football school career." I’m not sure whether to be happy the kid went to a football school or upset that apparently he was always high. I did learn something new. Had no idea walk-ons cannot start practicing at the same time scholarship players do. Also it sounds like the kid isn't sold on being a linebacker. The Minnesota Vikings drafted QB Joe Webb out of UAB this past April, with thoughts of converting him into "The Next Josh Cribbs." They gave him a token look at QB, and now he's #3 on the QB depth chart. You never know how things pan-out. I give the Cameron credit for doing whatever it takes to get his foot in the door.
  8. Under Coach Dambrot (6 seasons?), what are the Zips top 2 OOC victories?
  9. VCU will not play the Zips until 2011.
  10. And then they tell him to take off the pads for the second half.
  11. Rochester-area QB Offer
  12. The city and campus police are fine with it. It's the state liquor people that like to wander around that you have to keep an eye out for. Yeah... if you are under 21. There are absolutely no restrictions on drinking at InfoCision unless you have glass, or are under age.
  13. I mean the guy whose name is on the ballot, but who has no chance of winning. I do hope the competition makes them better. And Rodgers is key to the Zips success in 2010, because he can successfully manage a game or two if Nicely gets dinged up. It is nice to have an experienced back up. But if the Zips think they can win a championship...or even finish .500... with Rodgers playing 12+ games, they are crazy.
  14. Neither does this guy at CBSSportsline. You have to wonder if he contacted Razor and Razor alone on this Link Matt Rodgers is a candidate for the starting QB position in much the same way as Ralph Nader has been a presidential candidate.
  15. Mark - Please keep in mind the Zack directs visiting fans to ice cream stands when they ask about tailgating. And, he doesn't drink. There are absolutely no alcohol issues at InfoCision parking lots. The only thing frowned upon is glass. And if anyone has a glass bottle, the police are apt to simply ask that you place the contents in a plastic cup. Charcoal grills are also allegedly frowned upon... but I have yet to see that one enforced. Your fans can drink like fish and you will be fine. Please PM me with any concerns. Or post your questions here, and ignore any of Zach's responses. Both options are equally effective.
  16. Oratorious D.I.G reminded me of another point - He isn't working exclusively on weights and neglecting his cardio, is he? Oh that would be terrible...just terrible... For you, D.I.G.:
  17. What if Zeke pulls a muscle weightlifting? Or drops a plate on his toe? Won't his free throw arm-motion be restricted if he gets too big? He's not spending too much time in the weight room and neglecting his classwork, is he? And what supplements is he taking...hopefully they have all been approved by the NCAA? Is he wearing a weight belt for back support? Please make sure he stretches properly before lifting...that's sooo important!
  18. The slope of the InfoCision endzone grass is too steep for seating... Nicely broke his ankle... Zeke is transferring... Rasor has retired... what others am I missing?
  19. +1 I think the only people who take any stock in these rankings are those who have no clue on the topic. They need the guidance of someone else's opinion.
  20. PN7's only obstacle in 2010 will be finding a decent WR beyond LaFrance. I have no concerns that PN7 will bust his butt in the off-season. I hope and pray that some of the incumbent WR's see the huge opportunity for playing time in 2010 and bust their hump to get it. I see LaFrance being a lot like David Harvey this upcoming season. Not the head case stuff, but in an "as-he-goes-so-go-the-Zips" way. LaFrance needs to be All MAC for the Zips to make any noise this season.
  21. He's closer to 30 than you are to 50!
  22. Fret not, Skip...you are dead wrong.
  23. Just toss the ball deep and wait for the interference whistle. Pretty good scam they run in Buffalo.
  24. They didn't have these issues when Z-P played. I think ZipWatcher is on to something with the helmet angle...
