Instead of Zeke doubling down on Keely, Keely is left alone against Harney and scores in close. Keely was shut down NEAR THE BASKET when Zeke guarded him there in Akron. I just don't understand Zeke out high ...
Amazing how the 3s fall in familiar surroundings. Pretty much the opposite of what we saw OU @ Belmont.
Akron ball to start the second half I believe. Come on Zips!
We were just talking about that. Has made ABSOLUTELY no sense to me for four years. Zeke could OWN the area around the rim but is too busy chasing people around out high.
Love the St. Louis design and I think KD would too. I'm definitely for basketball-only with the crowd right on the action from all angles. No hockey! 8000-10000 would be my range.
Always makes me nervous when someone tries to play on an ankle that may not be 100%.
Take it easy Brian - find spot on floor, accept pass, square, shoot, smile at Keely, repeat.
It was the lead official and he didn't hesitate. As I watched Zeke dunk the ball, my first thought was "He's going to get T'd." The official was standing near the baseline on the Gucci Row side of the court opposite the Akron bench.
The subjective nature of officiating (especially basketball?) is frustrating. Thank goodness I can retreat to downhill skiing, bobsled, and curling!
Any additional votes and possible rise in the polls mean zilch if we don't take care of business in Athens Wednesday night. Keeping winning, especially those games that matter, and the polls will take care of themselves.
Why am I all of a sudden picturing KD with a "I <heart> French & Dunn" T-shirt over his shirt and tie when he comes out one of these times for the post-game interview? I think the T-shirt idea is a "Go!"
How about adding "R U kidding ME?!?!" and "... get outta here with a win." on the back?
Loving every minute of the beat-down.
I think the Can't fan otherwise known as 'The Screamer' made the trip down!
Thanks for an entertaining Saturday night kitties!
Belmont 22-point lead with 8:33 to go. Very good ball movement and movement off of the ball by the Bruins. Pesky defense too. I hope our Zips and coaching staff are paying attention.
Love watching Ball-Hog Cooper drop 3-pt bricks one after another. He's a real piece of work.
Come on Zips - head to Athens and bring how the 'W!'
Sure seems like an example of fan participation that might just help bring Joe and Suzy Akron and their kids out to the JAR a little more often! ("Hey! That was cool! When's the next game?") Any chance there is still time left to include something along those lines in the season finale against Can't! (Hey Willie! )
The finale of a Blue Man Group concert is high energy and a blast too! Shake, shake, shake that thang Nicole!
I enjoy Steve's calls of the game although I have to admit that with all of the streaming and TV available now, I don't listen as often as I used to. I like the emotion and attachment to the team Steve infuses into his calls of the game. The Cavs can keep Joe Generic they brought in to replace Joe Tait. Steve and Joe Dunn are part of the Akron Blue and Gold and I'd like to see them stay as long as they continue to enjoy doing the calls.
