Why Dambrot and his staff don't plant Zeke just outside of the charge arc and leave him there baffles me. OK, let him step out a few feet if need be but let him own and defend the high-percentage shot area including backdoor layups and the like. Dambrot even said himself following the Buffalo loss at home that "... we didn't do a very good job defending the rim." Then leave the big guy close enough to it to defend it in a controlled way! It kills me to see him step way out beyond the foul line to the 3-line and then have to work so hard to get back to cover the area near the rim. I've had others ask me why they play Zeke the way they do and I guess the only answer is "Go ask Dambrot."

I'm disappointed we didn't make the Big Dance, happy we have the NIT, and turned the show off the minute I saw the #5 seeding AND where we're going. Brings back bad memories. The NCAA pecking order is what it is but that doesn't mean I have to like it. It stinks to be in the MAC but that is where it seems we belong until we can consistently win games like Miss. State on the road, VCU at home and prove we are the #1 seed in the MAC tourney.

Come on Zips! A little redemption for the NCAA/Big 10/smokey-back-room soccer debacle a few years ago. Kick the crap out of Northwestern!

Just finished watching last year's MAC Championship Game and had forgotten how poorly we started (down 14-3 after 8 minutes) and how exciting the last minutes of regulation and the overtime were. Officially pumped for a full week of MAC Tourney basketball ... MAC-Sports.com for live streams of the games tomorrow night. STO carrying the load on TV Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. ESPN2 Saturday night nationally for the Championship Game! All seven seats accounted for in our van that will be headed north Friday evening. Go Zips!!!

Looks and feels like a replay of last year's game in Athens. Incredibly sloppy. I feel for the bus-load of students who made the trip. Wonder if we have it in us tonight to make it game in the second half?

Always fun to hate on Can't! Caught the post-game wrap-up on the radio on the way home from work tonight and enjoyed every minute of it. Can't announcer: "We usually have one of the Can't coaches join us be we haven't seen ANYBODY from the team come out of the locker room. It appears the coaches are having a 'Come to Jesus' meeting with the players and word is we may not be having anyone join us." None of the coaches appeared before the radio team signed off for the night. The 'we really suck right now' in their voices was very evident! Well, I guess TW can be excused for not attending the NC A&T b-ball game last night (... and I don't think he was at the YSU game Monday night either). VERY excited about the hire. Should help with recruiting and butts in seats immediately (instead of wait-and-see). Go Zips!
