... just fine without Groce tonight at home against EMU. Final - OU 73 EMU 50. Fairly even in the second half after 20-point half-time difference (36-16). No help from EMU tonight (a guy can hope can't he?).
As Joe Dunn just said on the radio, another HUGE crowd and could be bigger than the OU game. Great atmosphere and the guys seem to be caught up in it at the moment. Go Zips!
Just spent a few minutes talking to former UA center and alum Steve Swiech. Still an outstanding individual who still has a place in his heart for Akron. In town the last couple of days for the Alumni Night tonight. Finishing up his last semester of air traffic controller school and is top in his class. Fiscal cliff could hit the FAA budget pretty hard but he isn't worrying about that right now. Always good to see him here - will always be an Akron Zip!
Women looked really good in taking down Ball State tonight.
I usually head to streaming on mac-sports.com and pipe it to my TV. Video, audio and overall production quality vary by school but it sure beats the way it used to be.
Need OU to help us out by beating Belmont.
Nice draw location-wise too ... Nashville, TN vs. Fargo, ND (return game there next November or December - yuck).
A little surprised at the (low) attendance figures from some of the matches yesterday ...
1161 @ Indiana
748 @ Wake
1681 @ Creighton
1456 @ Louisville
682 @ UCLA
Michigan appears to be dominating play a little more than halfway through the first half. 7-1 shot advantage over Niagara. Niagara has 3 saves. Still 0-0.
Nice out-of-conference schedule and results again this year. Playing in the MAC does us N-O favors. The MAC sucks in general and so does the (time to bring this one back) ...
