  1. Well, this gametracker hasn't updated since 2-0 at the half. It needs to go in the
  2. Ruh-roh, 2-0 NC. Cmon Zips, keep fighting...
  3. Zips are down 1-0 at 34 minutes...anyone watching?http://www.cstv.com/gametracker/launch/gt_...=&startschool=&
  4. I think you nailed it. That should be next year's marketing slogan: "Zips Football...laying a new foundation". We're now going into recruiting with a stadium announcement including pictures. The next recruiting class will redshirt in 08 and play all 4 years in the new stadium. We'll have a much better gameday college FB experience, on campus, which will allow us to recruit head to head with BCS schools on some good players who want early PT rather than sitting & waiting, who before would have avoided our less-fun off-campus RB atmosphere. Our home game visitors this fall will play their last game in the RB, starting w/Can't in 2 weeks. Land clearing for Infocision should be underway before the end of this season. They should take a team photo (including alumni players) standing on the vacant lot before construction begins, that would be one for the history books. Early prediction: on our next trip to Columbus in 2011 our defense will be at least as good as now and we'll score at least 21 points
  5. "Inclement weather limits Buckeyes to 20 points"Pluto's PD story: "Hold your heads high, Zips, your punts were fantastic"
  6. I've never seen a team lose so many close games to good opponents as Wake Forest. Grobe always seems to have them right in it til the end but so often comes up just short. Maybe he'll be a candidate at Michigan which is now getting shellacked by Oregon.
  7. Pathetic is when you lose 77-3 and are terrible on both sides. Our defense will keep us in every remaining game, create turnovers and score some points. We held #12 Tosu to 6 points until they wore us down. We have a punter (who knew?). The offense will mature and get better. We are in a good position to challenge for the MAC East. But we will need to make some field goals to win low-scoring defensive games, starting next week. If we can't throw over top of a defense then we need to figure out some kind of deep curl routes or intentional underthrows (the tall athletic Arthur can outjump small DB's) to open it up. I don't see us losing 7 more games on our schedule.
  8. What's with the gong? Is that an OSU tradition I didn't know about?
  9. We gotta throw one deep and beat their 2ndary.
  10. CJ next series to run some option?
  11. LO could get some first downs with his offenses. I think you mean a statue of him sending in the kickoff receiving team.
  12. http://www.gozips.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_...&ATCLID=1210070  W Tennis has been one of our worst sports...are we turning the corner? I know it's early but some wins over West Virginia bodes well.Volleyball is off to a great start as well at 7-1
  13. Tough loss to Wake but Coach Porter says he was pleased with the way we played against the No. 1 team. NC tied Bradley 1-1 with 2OT. We need to bounce back and get the split. Go Zips !

  16. sisthren- is this even a word... if not I like it anyway, and will use sometime in the futureoh and dittoand I like the apocalyptic sound of "The Day of the Zips is coming..."Zippy Brutus
  17. Beating osu would garner national attention & respect (and maybe a few congratulatory poll votes?) whereas winning the MACC...not so much. I also would love to see the ABJ, PD & CD front-page treatments of a Buckeye meltdown at the hands of the Zips. By the premise of the question we could still win the MAC East, lose the MACC by a whisker in Detroit and go to our 2nd bowl game...that would be a nice rebound from 5-7.
  18. Hopefully JD is wise enough to have some coins in his pocket during the game. I will be happy with either option if we have a chance to win the game on the last play. Where are Alcorn, Getsy & Hixson when you need them ?!
  19. I agree there should be civil discussion of the upcoming game but it wasn't long ago that one of them came on here instructing us to bow down to them and quit siphoning off state resources that could make them be more like UM. http://zipsnation.org/index.php?showtopic=...indpost&p=42021 Maybe they're the ones that have a (God) complex.Appie St. 34 Michigan 32. UM falls from #5 out of the top 25. Go Zips !!
  20. Still a little patronizing if you ask me. And not every seat in the lower bowl is good for watching a game. My seat was in the corner of the end zone down low but I watched most of the game standing on the decking above the corner sections. I would have rather had an upper deck seat. And there was not an option of "spreading out" as they had attendants in every section for the entire game checking peoples tickets. That should be our last Patriot Bowl...once our stadium is built there won't be any good reason to play in Cleveland again. I would think the Browns games are a lot of fun though with that stadium filled to the rim.
  21. It was a good crowd. The game was "away" on a holiday weekend. The cheapest tix were $15 and those sold out. I think they were in the end zone which was pretty full but the better seats cost a lot more and so remained emptier which you saw on TV. People aren't going to pay $30 ea. for a family to watch mid-major ball. It was the most Zips shirts & hats I've seen being worn in one place and they were selling a bunch more at halftime. We have the beginnings of a solid fan base and they will come to the new stadium. Consistent winning will add the bandwagon fans. I think we will be averaging 25K in 2 years easily.
  22. Lobos' new IPF:http://golobos.cstv.com/genrel/083107aaa.html
  23. We are coming to the game from PA with teenagers, and don't know Cleveland at all. This seems like an answer to where to have dinner besides overpriced stadium food. Any idea of whether it will be worth the $25 price? Will there be food available for purchase at the tailgate party if we don't choose the VIP route? Thanks in advance! Go ZIPS!The way I'm reading that is there will be some type of food (burgers & hotdogs?) at the "regular" tailgate party and then a separate VIP tailgate/buffet for $25. You could always hang out there for a while and then go somewhere nearby for a pregame meal if you want something other than what they have. The buffet sounds good but a tank of gas plus game tickets plus $25/head meal starts adding up quick  If you call the ticket office number given maybe someone would know exactly what's on the menu.
  24. I don't know. I really dislike telemarketers calling...I wouldn't want the community to become annoyed by this. If we're offering deep-discount tickets/packages I guess it would be worth it. I wish they could do Zips-minute spots on the radio with brief replays, player/coach comments, a little info on the next opponent, things to give the public a little knowledge of the team and get them interested and not just "Hey everybody, go to the Zips game...pleeeeze?!"
  25. Nice monorail layout !! Will that connect up with Canal Park and Infocision Stadium as well for Park-n-Ride to Zips & Aeros games? University of Tomorrowland
