UAkron.edu master planmight be intramural fields.I think the new tailgate spot might end up being across exchange at the old baseball fields. I noticed the U buying and tearing down tons of homes along Brown St. Could it be a tailgate lot in the making? -

I heard that Joe Pa is making the whole team clean the stadium after a game due to a few players getting into trouble... talk about a bit of peer pressure to keep in line!

speaking of the JAR, wouldn't it be cool to have a kick-off party for the new stadium there (or in the fieldhouse) that was open to the public and show fly-thru images of the new stadium on the big screen? They could also have a place set up to make donations towards it.

the city owns a large area of land at Perkins and Rte. 8.... would seem to be a pretty logical and desirable place... near UA, downtown, easy expressway access...

There's only 3-4 shops left plus two restaurants (the tavern in the basement and the one on the main level).I think they will be able to divide the shops from the hotel/dorm space and keep it running.I can remember crossing the tracks behind EJ to get there. I know there's a bridge on Mill that will probably be the main route for those students otherwise.

I think I remember seeing something similar in at least one of the stadium proposals. They will be abandoning Heisman Lodge when the new stadium is built so that would be a great idea for that.As for the satdium. I think they should have somthing inside that shows the names and pictures of all of the Zips players who have made it to the Professional level. With a picture fo them when they were at Akron and with their Professional team. They need to make it more fan friendly, unlike the rubber bowl. -

They must have done a marketing deal with UA where they swap season ticket holder names... I got a season ticket flyer from the Browns and have never before received anything from them. If this is true, I'd say it's a good plan... more exposure for UA in the Cleveland metro area.Also, the Browns sent Patriot Bowl ticket information to the Browns Backers Worldwide and to their season ticket holders.
