  1. The Winking Lizard in Fairlawn has been my choice lately. And you're right, they are a Zip-friendly establishment. Are they still doing our Zips Live broadcasts this season??Now that we get so many road games on TV, that's a GREAT IDEA to try to find a place that's Zip-friendly, and get as many people there as possible.
They support the Zips? They didn't last Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Everyone complains about Akron having horrible fan support. I 100% believe this is because everyone in the area would rather root for OSU. I went to the Winkling Lizard in Fairlawn and everyone in there including the workers were wearing OSU clothes. I decided to leave and went to Brubackers which I found the same. It's pathetic that people in this area were rooting for OSU to beat Akron. Stupid frontrunners will continue to root for them until they start losing.I hope some of you will join me in rooting against them every week. Go Washington.

  3. Help me report this guy. Write a Dale Carnegie like email to the following email address and tell them what you think about The Beacon Journal.rebecca@blackpress.caI'm even going to call on Monday. Key points to discuss:Business section is awful. I get the Wall Street Journal for my national business news and was forced to switch to The Plain Dealer for local business news.Sports section is bad. The local coverage is pathetic.Feel free to vent your frustrations to them.

  4. Can you deny the fact that OSU steals fan support away from Akron in Northeast Ohio? I know everyone wants to root for a winner, but for some reason the Browns are still capable of getting fan support. This is how I see it: If OSU starts to lose more often and becomes the next Indiana in the Big Ten, those buckeye fans in the Northeast Ohio area will no longer root for them. I think the only reason people around here root for OSU is because they have a winning tradition. They can't say they root for OSU because of the Ohio in the name because I don't see anyone around here rooting for OU. If OSU's winning tradition ends, probably 80% of those fans will stop rooting for OSU. I'd like to see Akron steal some of that 80%
