sgm, when someone says anything negative about OSU, your so quick to jump in and defend OSU. Understand that a lot of Akron fans are tired of seeing OSU, OSU, OSU all over this damn city. We're proud of Akron and we want to see more Akron but apparently all these front runners are keeping that from happening. So we're taking a stand. We're telling people that it's ok to root against OSU. And everytime we say something of that sort, you go ballistic. I've looked throughout the history of your posts and this is true. Aren't you tired of seeing OSU all over the ABJ. The Zips get horrible coverage by them. Wouldn't you be pissed if you go to a bar to watch an Akron game and you have to complain to get the game on.If we continue to support OSU, the attitudes in this city are not going to change. My beef with OSU is that they are a Columbus school, yet a lot of people in Akron think it's the only school in Ohio.Thinking it's 'OK' to support the Buckeyes is your choice, but understand that OSU is in Akron's way to becoming the state's powerhouse.Would the residents that live around Texas Tech root for Texas??? The ones that live near Oklahoma State root for Oklahoma??? Oregon State root for Oregon. Arizona State root for Arizona???? etc..........Maybe we're not called Ohio, or the University of Ohio at Akron. But OSU will always be in are way.

Buffalo is the worst. I don't think Can't is the last place team. Can't will probably beat Buffalo. That will be their only win.

When OSU starts to lose, those front runners are going to need a new team to root for. Akron's that team.

Football has been getting a lot of attention lately, so I want to take a second to recognize the soccer teams.The girls are off to a great start, 4-0. After looking at some of their profiles on facebook, I'm definitaly going to have to go watch a game. A lot of good looking girls and they have skills on the soccer field, how could anyone pass that up?The boys are making up for the loss in the tournament, but these wins have been very close. I'm nervous to see how this season turns out. My confidence is with them, but I'd like to see them blow those teams out.Good job to the women and men's soccer team.

ESPNU is one channel that plays the same thing everywhere. Cable doesn't have the channel so you'll have to go somewhere with Dish Network or Direct TV. I'm hoping Panini's has it. If not, we can always walk down the street to Jullians, if not there, there's Brubakers.

Getsy had an ok game against an amazing defense and Stokes and Mackey both had great days on defense.To me, it looks like he's only looking at stats and picking players with the highest. sgm, you have to understand that a lot of Akron fans are frustrated with this area's perception of the Zips. We feel like we're second class. And we're treated like second class. The whole Panini's thing was an expample. I had to fight to get the Akron game on most of the tvs with sound. I know you love OSU, but they really give us Akron fans a challenge when all we see is OSU all over the place. Like the barley house last night. I know this doesn't piss you off, but it does me. I'm a diehard Akron fan. I'm not saying your not, but when your made second class in your home town, you get a little fired up.

NC State looked bad against a d1-aa school. Look at the box score if you don't believe me, 8 punts, 3-12 on 3rd downs. box score

NC State has a weak offense. Akron has a good defense. It's really hard to tell if they're any good by this game because ap state is probably the best d1-aa school, but you have to remember it is d1-aa.I think we have an excellent shot in this game

i'm kind of happy with how the game turned out, it was interesting to watch the whole way through, not once did i want to give up on them

Western Michigan is no push over either. I'm worried about the game against Miami. They have our number at home. Did anyone see the North Texas vs Texas highlights. They don't look good.NIU's defense is bad. OSU made them look like a pee-wee team. I think Toledo will beat them and win the West. Bowling Green looks good. Miami has a horrible offense.I think a 7-5 season is a reasonable prediction, anything worse and it's bad for the Zips.

the invitation was made, i only have 178 friends on there though, and 100 of those are from Akron. So I didn't really get the word out that far. Someone else should make the same event.

GP1, i'm only 22 while paying college by myself, supporting my 16 month old son, and only making a little more than $33,000 a year. Yeah I own a duplex and have future business plans, but right now I need to put all the capitol I have left over into my future. So in the future, I'd be glad to compete with you for "who donates more money" but right now I can't do much more than be a student and a fan. I'll try to be at every football game this year, and I'll go to as many basketball games that I can. I'm wondering if OSU makes more money off this local market than Akron does??? I have been thinking about buying a family pack season tickets and giving them away as a gift to my little cousins who'd be the happiest kids in the world if they could go to a game. Right now I just don't have the capitol available to do that. But hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to do my part with donations.

But I don't think you understood the previous post when I complained about Panini's having the OSU game as the highlighted game when there was clearly more Akron fans than OSU fans. I'd say 23 Akron fans vs 3 OSU fans. We had to give management hell about getting the Akron game on most of the TV's and for sound. What was good for Panini's business that day was to have the Akron game as the highlighted game. They clearly didn't care about their business until I gave them hell.I feel like we are a minority in Akron, that's why I'm all about this revolution idea. we had to make them televise it though, I gave them hell. We're going to have a harder time this week because OSU is playing Texas, but with 50+ Akron fans, we could make a lot of noise not just in Panini's but in the city. Let everyone know that Akron has a fan base. And we at Zipsnation are it's core. It's really are duty to rally everyone else because if we don't do it, Who will???

i really wish i was rich already, i would donate money to Akron specifally for jd's salary. I'd give at least $1,000,000 for it. Let's hope I get rich sometime soon.

Well, do you guys want to make this a big event, I'll post it as a big event on Facebook and Myspace. We maybe could get like 35+ people easily.
