    Bhugh and OZoner make a few good points and they deserve credit for making 'em. They are right, we haven't won anything yet.
    I didn't say that, actually. All I said was that you beat us thoroughly. At best, it would be silly to suggest you aren't legitimate.
    I went over before the game yesterday in a very civil manner with my game thoughts.
    Actually, what you did was accuse our coaching staff of cheating and acted defensive when we asked for proof.
    And when you fire the first shots like that and then drop a game by 31, you better damned well be ready for some smack to come back your way.
    Here's the thing. If we had won last night and I started a thread like the one you started, how would Zip Nation be reacting? Holy crap, I'd be strung up in town square, and rightfully so. In my eyes, you crossed the line. Golden rule, man. I would never do something like that. I'm all for smack talking, but there's at least some decorum to be observed.I did say some things about Dambrot, but it wasn't smack per se, just things that I have observed and heard. He's a good coach, but I don't think he represents himself well (TOS has had issues himself I will say in the interests of disclosure).Fans of many schools come to Bobcat Attack and are welcomed and are part of the community. Put if you come in with guns blazing, we're going to fire back. To a lot of the people there, you just came to stir up trouble.

    Because there is no actual proof. However, being close to the situation, I know what went on...trust me. But as I said on BCA, you are free to believe what you want to believe and I don't blame you for defending your program.

    ZN would've stood up for themselves like you guys did. However, they would've also accepted that because they started the trash-talking (as OU fans did) to expect to have it returned in a big way with a loss like that.

    Well, this was my first post on BobcatAttack.com:"Hey guys, Akron fan here. It appears that the game is still on for tonight although the University did cancel any classes after 3 PM. I just got home and let me tell you, the roads are B-A-D and it's quite dangerous to be driving anywhere. I'll be there tonight, but I'm not expecting many to join me...it's that bad."That is coming in with "guns blazing"...??? That is stirring up trouble? Oh, and here was the first response:"You mean they have classes at Akron. Jesus! Yeah! I said it! Akron is stoopid! I measured myself with the heights of mankind, but I can't wrap my brain around why people even recognize Akron as a viable option for anything...Ugh!"Just defending my school that I love OZone...I went over yesterday with the intention of talking about the game with OU fans to get a different perspective. In return I got attacked and my school/team/coach got attacked...as you can see, I didn't fire the first shots. Now as I said...I deleted the post out of respect to the few OU fans like yourself and a few others who didn't attack me and the school/team/coach prior to the game. But please, quit acting like OU fans were innocent bystanders and that I came over to start trouble. You know better than that.

    I went over before the game yesterday in a very civil manner with my game thoughts. There were a few wonderful posters there, but the majority chose to rip into me and Akron for no reason. The school, the city, the academics, the team, the coach - they hit on just about everything. And when you fire the first shots like that and then drop a game by 31, you better damned well be ready for some smack to come back your way.It's all in good fun to me anyway...I think most of them realized that. Oh, and nobody made a claim that Akron was MAC champ yet either...that's just a sad attempt at trying to put words in my/our mouths. I think everyone knows and realizes that anything can happen at the Q.

    UPDATED STANDINGS------------------------Akron - 9-1 Can't St. - 8-2 Miami (Ohio) - 8-3 Ohio - 7-4Akron @ Toledo tonight, Can't at Western Michigan tomorrow.A big win tonight and another against OU Tuesday just about eliminates them from MAC East regular season title contention. :thumb:

    I think a good idea would be to give four free tickets to a future Zips home gameYou give the fan something they value, it worth something ($40), and it gets four more people to the JAR...and let's face it, we need to get people there in any way that we possibly can!Some other suggestions for Halftime:- Bring back the mascot game! Anything mascots are a part of is instantly funny - Why not invite youth leagues to play a 10 minute exhibition? Who doesn't enjoy these?

    sgm....that's a great idea !! I like that.Just to give all of you a "heads up". I went to buy 4 tickets today for the OU game in one of the upper reserved sections where me and my fellow alums usually sit. The section had only EIGHT seats available in the entire section. And that is nearly a week before the game.So...there is going to be a big crowd. Now.....let me take the honors of starting the chants a week early.......Bubba Sucks !! Bubba Sucks !! Bubba Sucks !!I can't wait until Tuesday.
