Your comment about Zeke was exactly what I was thinking last night watching the game. He made a tremendous difference in blocking or altering almost everything that came into the paint. We have zero rim defense currently.

We definitely have a major selling point that he can come right in and start. We don't have anything at rb next year, and i don't want to about Van Edwards. He was a sub par talent at returner. He isn't the answer.

You aren't wrong. We are not recruiting well enough to rely on high school talent, so we are still going to be heavy on transfers and JUCO's. Look at this years class. It is mostly high school and JUCO kids with absolutely zero offers. That is frightening. We need almost every player to be a diamond in the rough or we lose ground on talent compared to our peers. Not only this, we lose 1, 2 and sometimes 3 years of having a guy in our system with this current situation that we have with all the JUCO's and transfers. I am still not fully convinced that we have guys ready to step in and replace the ones we lose this year. If this is the case recruiting won't improve whatsoever and the trend of bringing in the 1 or 2 year mercenaries continues. And remember folks..our schedule was a cakewalk. We still have only beaten 2 +.500 teams in 4 years. I really don't know where the talent level is on this team.

Ivey is about 0 for the season from the free throw line. Unreal how someone can be that poor at foul shooting and be a D1 player.

Statistics should be a guide, not an absolute measure. He is correct that our perimeter defense is our biggest weakness. Nobody needs to shoot 3's on us because everyone gets to the rim at ease. Why shoot the 3 when you can get layups? After last night, rebounding is gaining ground quickly.

Getting swept by the sun belt and destroyed by an ok Boise team isn't exactly making the MAC look respectable. BGSU's staff is coaching this game like they don't care. Oh wait... They don't...they are going to Syracuse.

The reports I saw said that Bowden expressed interest in Tulane, but the feeling wasnt mutual. I don't even know if I believe any of it. To answer your question though, I can't see him leaving. Father Time isn't in his side to get a bigger gig. Not only that, I really don't think he will want to go through another rebuild at his age. He wouldn't be stepping into a winner if he leaves. Besides, he has a pretty sweet gig here to be honest and I am sure he wants to continue to try and build on the momentum the program currently has.

It was fun to sit in a bar in clearwater florida and be proud of the team playing on the big screen. I am beyond happy!!!
